We Love This
Food is perfect, setting is perfect, so much so that I proposed here and stayed the night,
if your very very fussy or a Meldrew family member than you can find fault with some decor and some untidy parts,
Great Food, Great Service, Great location, Great just great....

Room Tip: spent time talking to whoever is taking the booking or visit and check out the room's first

My sister hired Mr G's for the family to celebrate my nieces 18th birthday. We had not seen the room beforehand but our first impressions were excellent and the evening continued in the same vein. The room has been tastefully decorated and the table looks amazing when the candleabras were lit. Waiting staff were very attentive and continually filling glasses and making sure everyone had what they wanted nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was gorgeous and could not be faulted. My only tiny gripe would be that there was a bit of a delay in getting everyone's meals out and some had to start eating before others food had arrived.
All in all fabulous place to have a celebration and will definitely be using it again in the future!

From the outside, Milsoms looks of a good quality set neatly in an attractive garden.

We hoped for dinner in the restaurant. On check in my wife and I were asked what time we wanted to eat, only then to be told there was a no-booking policy but we would be given preference over non guests – why bother asking then I wondered!

Our room though was a fair size with a nice view of the attractive gardens. The room was clean and tidy, with an extremely comfortable bed littered with large cushions. There were steps down to an above average bathroom area. The room had air conditioning which was essential because even though it was mid Oct it was uncomfortably hot where we were in room 3.

Breakfast was just average. We stayed here on a promotion deal, which was lucky because it wasn’t worth the full price.

We stayed one night only as part of a wedding party. The venue is lovely. Food was great and the service very good. My only complaint that at 200 pounds there wasn't a lot of value for money. Breakfast was extra and overall although very good it just seemed overpriced!!!!!

We have just spent the weekend at Milsoms in Dedham for our wedding weekend, and throughout what has been a very busy weekend the staff at Milsoms have ensured that everything has been absolutely perfect.

The thing that hits you as you interact with anybody who works for the Milsoms hotels and restaurants is that everyone, even the part time student staff, have a huge amount of pride for where they work and this results in no request being too great. The staff are well presented, polite and extremely helpful.

The location is stunning and a small footpath opposite the hotel entrance leads you to the lovely village of Dedham.

The free Range Rover shuttle can take you to Le Talbooth restaurant, where the food is amazing.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel and the staff...!

Room Tip: If you are staying in the Deluxe Rooms, room 1 has a great view across the gardens.

We stayed here the night before our wedding at Maison Talbooth and had drinks in the bar before going to Le Talbooth for dinner. Our room was fab, just lovely, much nicer than I'd expected for the price! Bar and outside seating were lovely and we had a great family gathering on the terrace. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding, just what I needed to calm my nerves! I recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
A couple of notes for those in charge.... The reception / downstairs phone rang repeatedly throughout the night, and kept waking me up. Please turn down the ringer!!! Also, though we used all three of your venues over that weekend, there was no sense of anyone at each venue knowing this. No one at Milsom's was aware I was getting married at Maison that weekend, nor was anyone at Le Talbooth. It would have been rather more slick if, since the same person did all the bookings for us, they had been aware! Would have been nice also to have been offered a celebratory glass of something at one of the locations beating in mind the occasion and money / time we spent there. Didn't spoil it in any way, but was a bit surprised...
Would defo go back.
