“Eclectic !!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014

Great for a mooch about. Lovely bespoke crafts for gifts.
I found some wonderful and unusual costume jewellery on my last visit.
Lovely area downstairs to have a cup of tea and homemade cake.

Well worth a visit if you are in the local area.

“Beautiful place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2014 via mobile

Free parking available, the art and craft center is worth a visit although quite expensive. The Creams teas are lovely but again very expensive. Beautiful little village where you can walk or row to flatford through the fields and row on the lake. There are lots of cows too. More of a grown up place rather than for children as its more of a mature area and not many places to entertain younger children.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Dedham Art and Craft Centre.

Regarding you comments about overpriced items, we do try and work within the RRP. We are a small independent company and not a department store, therefore we do not buy in bulk. We cannot compete with the High Street on price, however I am very confident that we can offer you that something different to the High Street as we try and source our products from small independent companies, like us, and wherever possible made in the UK.

Kind regards
Miriam

“Noisy, poor service, mediocre food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

We had the quiche and drink lunchtime offer, which was ... OK, nothing better than that.

The surroundings are pleasant and clean enough, so long as you don't mind having to move every time they want to get to the fridge, and aren't everso fussy about the chefs long uncovered hair dangling about in all of your food.

But the service. Oh dear. Smiley but clueless.

The staff on our visit were very nice young kids, they really were, very .....nice, exceedingly polite, but they hadn't a clue what they were doing, Nothing came at the same time, we had to ask for everything (cutlery, condiments, mayonnaise), which then didn't arrive. BUT to ask if everything was OK only to be told "not really".... and we explained why, you'd think they'd take a clue and when we asked for the bill it might appear.... eventually; but no we had to go and "camp at the till" pay and get out of the place.

Hey guys, no amount of smiley politemness can compensate for total incompetence; up your game.

“Nice pot of tea”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

Had a very pleasant visit to the Art and Craft Centre this afternoon for a very welcome Pot of Tea.

We did not require any thing to eat, but they do scones and most other items you would have in a Tea Shop

They also do Picnic Hampers and Afternoon Teas, both of these need to be ordered in advance.

I am sure we will order a Hamper for sometime in the summer.

There is also a well stocked Craft Shop with items not seen everywhere.

The whole place is spotless

We will be making a return visit.

“Home grown talent”

This interesting craft shop is situated in a church and has some fine pieces to buy if looking for a special gift. We bought a hand made wooden fruitbowl for ourselves. Friendly community and handy tea stop.
