“Lovely day trip from London”
Reviewed June 4, 2013

Seven sisters is a beautiful place and well worth a day trip when visiting London. Take a train from Victoria to Eastbourne (about an hour and a half trip) and then take the coastal bus to Seven Sisters Country Park. There is a visitors center where you can get a map. Walk up the road to the Golden Galleon pub. Walk through the parking lot to the trail that goes all the way to the coast. It's about a 40 minute hike out and back. Be sure to walk up the hill past the cottages for the best views. And when you return the pup is a great place for a pint and food.

“Amazing natural beauty”
Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

I first visited the Seven Sisters Country Park over twenty years ago on a school trip. I vaguely remembered the meandering river but had forgotten just how beautiful it was and how spectacular the cliffs are. After a day is bustling Brighton it was a welcome break and a chance to enjoy some peace and tranquility.

“Chalk cliffs over looking the channel.”

A great place for walking, rambling or playing cricket with the kids after a picnic over looking a wonderful view (gorse fields, sea and hills). Obviously be careful of the cliff.

“Amazing white cliffs views, not far from London”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This park is of amazing natural beauty and a great day out for those looking for unspoiled nature. There are a few trails you can choose from, from easy to medium difficulty. We've chosen to walk the easy route first, going to the beach and had a picnic by the beach. Make sure you walk by the white cliffs as the views upwards are breathtaking.

From the beach, you can take a short-cut to the top of the white cliffs - make sure you do, when you get there, you will see amazing views of Cuckmere Haven and the cliffs - stunning.

The park is well served, there is an information centre, parking (£2.5 for 2 hours and £3.5 for 3 hours or more) and there's a lovely pub - Golden Galleon - just 10 minutes walk from the park entrance. The pub has great outdoor space. The drive to the park took us around 1h40min.

“Escape the sprawl”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Visiting Sussex in the Worthing-Brighton-Newhaven area can often feel like always being in someone else’s back garden, and a not very well kept one at that. Travel a bit further east and the Seven Sisters County Park, nearly 300 hectares of cliffs, meandering river (like something out of a physical geography textbook) and grassland, offers an escape from the crowds and the ugly urban sprawl.

If you are energetic the Seven Sisters beckon for a bracing walk. If you are less enthusiastic, and particularly if you have children, the circular walks to Seaford Head (3 miles) and the Country Park Trail (3 miles) and the route down to the beach (2 miles return) are of ideal length and ease. There are plenty of places to stop and picnic or just ponder the views. Access is provided for cyclists and canoeists.

There is plenty of parking and the Visitor Centre is good for orientating you and explaining the delights of the Park.

Indulge yourself by starting or finishing at the Golden Galleon
