We had a lovely time in Rye. There is so much to do and see. Some lovely coffee shops and pubs. We were here for 3 nights and only used the car once to take a trip into Camber. The studio was set in a great position. It has everything you may need in for the duration of your stay. The only negative was the cleanliness of studio. In our opinion it needed a thorough deep clean and the bath needs resealing as mouldy. If these were up to standard it would have been a fantastic stay.
Booked a night in Rye for my husband and me as we wanted to go to the Globe inn for a meal which we did and I would highly recommend. Arrived at 3pm house clean and tidy and warm it was freezing outside so I was pleased about this, didn’t stay in the accommodation much as we went straight out to cobblestone tea room over the road which was lovely then to the mermaid inn for a couple of drinks where the log fire was roaring and then the standard pub next door also. All with in walking distance. Everyone is so friendly in Rye and this accommodation is perfect location. Really enjoyed our night away plan to stay again next year .
Thank you Sally for a great New Year stay at The Quarter House!
This is definitely a case of location location location. The accommodation is warm, cosy and great value. There are two sets of narrow stairs to negotiate which may be tricky for some but added to the quirky style for us. We found the facilities to be exactly as we expected and would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Rye.
Rye is a magical, time-travelling experience at the best of times and my delightful stay at The Quarterhouse summed this up delightfully. It's a lovely, historical, intimate setting that's perfect for a couple or a small family. Everything is at your fingertips: TV, kitchen, great bathroom facilities and a really useful selection of information on the many things to do in the area, thoughtfully by the super-friendly owner, Sally. Plus the location couldn't be better...smack bang in the middle of Rye's main street, a step away from all its delightful shops, restaurants and galleries. If you want to stay in Rye and really soak up the atmosphere, I'd recommend forgoing the usual hotel route and spending a night or two at the Quarterhouse. It really is something to write home about.
Perfectly located on the high street in Rye . Quirky and characterful, we really liked this little place. We had a few issues but the owners did their best to resolve, we found them most helpful and friendly . Rye is an amazing little place, you feel so welcomed and safe there, it's just lovely.
We ate amazing food and drank lovely wines and didn't drain the bank account.... so perfect !!!
We loved the area already as have stayed in Hastings previously but will definitely be back to cool little Rye
