Seakale is a delightful holiday cottage, situated very close to a stunning nature reserve teeming with wildlife, with every need catered for: comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, cosy, warm sitting room, luxurious bathroom and light and spacious throughout and beautifully decorated. We particularly appreciated the welcome for our dog (treats and biscuits provided) and the welcome cake and milk waiting for us on arrival.

We've just returned after a four night stay and we've had a fantastic time! The cottage was beyond our expectations; lovely shabby chic decoration, plenty of room - especially the bathroom, the cottage was relaxing and homely. Jane (the owner) thought of everything, even down to recommendations of various restaurants in which we tried. She provided us with all the home comforts such as cake, biscuits and all the necessities (milk, coffee, sugar etc.), it is also very dog friendly with lovely walks through the nature reserve which is just around the corner with the beach also, Jane even provides the guests with doggie treats! Every thing was provided to us with prompt and efficient help with anything we could possibly need. We would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend Seakale cottage to anyone - you won't be disappointed!

Seakale is a lovely, cosy and comfortable cottage and the eye for detail, thought and consideration that Jane has for her guests adds to the delight of staying there.
The location is fantastic. We walked our dogs around the reserve and attached beach everyday for two weeks and it is large enough that it never gets boring.
We got the bus into beautiful Rye often and spent many a happy hour walking the cobbled streets, perusing the interesting shops and frequenting the many delicious eateries and comfortable bars and pubs.
We also took the dogs on the bus to Camber Sands - a great way to tire them out and there was nothing better than coming home after a day of brisk walking to settle down in front of Seakale's lovely log fire.
Rye Harbour itself although small has everything that you need on your doorstep, two great pubs, a village shop and a wonderful cafe (serving the best breakfasts ever). There is also another cafe within a small gallery that was closed (for Christmas) while we were there.
We would not hesitate to recommend Seakale and we hope to return one day.

If you've never been, Rye Harbour is an amazing place. Unlike any other. Marshy pools, birdlife, huge skies, plus of course the sea. Plus close to Camber Sands which is gorgeous expanse of beach. Cottage is comfortable, quiet, nice place to relax and stare at the fire in the evenings, and has everything you may wish for.
Seakale is truly a home from home. All your needs are catered for and the house is beautiful and extremely comfortable.
Location is great for Rye and the nature reserve is just a stroll away.
We had a really relaxing long weekend, which was exactly what we wanted! The freshly baked cake that was left for us was very welcome too!
