With pages from old copies of ‘The Beano’ pasted to the ceiling, and a couple of phrenologists’ ceramic heads (one wearing leopard-print framed sunglasses) on the mantlepiece, this back room of place makes for a rather amusing escape which certainly fires the imagination. I have visited twice, and although the fare tried (rarebit and sparkling water on visit one, coffee and chocolate cake the second time around) might not match the magic of the space of that back room it has been fine enough to sustain whilst occupying myself with reading or conversation. Certainly one to consider a return to.
