“What a shame. Spoilt our trip.”

We booked what was to be a much-needed break at £195 for one night. Sadly, within 24 hours we realised that we couldn't make it after all, but we were not allowed to cancel (with refund) even with such long notice. Consequently we couldn't afford a break at all as we wasted £195 on a weekend break that wasn't! In the midst of a stressful house move this was a 'slap in the face' we could have done without!

Highly recommend the boathouse apartment for a peaceful stay. Well equipped,
Beautiful vista, especially of an evening when the yachts return to the harbour.

“Brilliant week at the Boathouse”
Reviewed July 30, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Being new to this part of England, my wife and I found the Boathouse to be the perfect base to explore the area and its many attractions. The apartment was
clean and comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after our trips. Rye is a delightful town with lots of great shops and friendly pubs within easy walking distance of the Boathouse. We'd certainly recommend it, especially if you like photography, as there is an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep.
We had a fantastic week and would love to come back in the future.
Five stars from us!

“Cozy, quiet riverside flat in Rye”
Reviewed July 24, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Located right on the river, this flat is small but amply equipped. We had number 5 which was in the middle of the block of flats, with a balcony where we could sit and watch the boats go up and down as well as the tide go out completely and rush back in. Rye is quite small and so all within walking distance. Restaurants are all excellent and lots of history. Good accommodation for a short break. Nice touch by owner, a bottle of champagne in the frig!

“Lovely! ~ wonderful position overlooking the river ~ parking ~ short walk into Rye 🙂”
Reviewed July 3, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The location is great with a beautiful outlook & just a short walk into Rye ~ the tidal river is literally outside the door & is great for watching wildlife & passing boats ~ numbered parking space ~ place beautifully clean & fully equipped ~ comfy beds ~ good shower ~ Chris (the owner) gave us really useful comprehensive information so no problems with anything during our stay ~ welcome bubbly a lovely surprise ~ We particularly enjoyed the short walk into Rye which is so pretty with lots to see (the Ypres tower, church & antique shops our favourite!) ~ Rye has a great range of places to eat & drink for every budget plus a supermarket for everyday essentials ~ A good base for visiting Rye Harbour, Hastings, The Hythe/Dymchurch railway, Dungeness & Battle with superb countryside & seaside views when travelling around the area ~ We would definitely recommend The Boathouse & hope to stay again!
