We stayed in The Apartment, a few steps over the road from the hotel itself. It was spacious, comfortable and furnished to an excellent standard. A Christmas tree and decorations all added to the atmosphere of the accomodation. Service, welcome and friendliness of the staff was wonderful. The parking permit supplied on check in was a great help and allowed us to leave the car after check out whilst we experienced the delights of Rye. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to all.

Now my 4th stay at this little gem in RYE. Once again we stay in the Admirals Apartment for the start of Rye's Christmas Festival. The apartment was beautifully prepared, warm and very roomy. Beds are all very comfy an it has a real homely feel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I've said it before in an earlier review so suffice to say we plan on staying again next year. Keep up the great work - you have a lovely little haven hotel. Thank you.

This was our second stay at the Hope Anchor in Rye - the last was 33 years earlier in 1976. Over the past several years we have many times replayed our BBC DVD series Mapp & Lucia filmed on location in Rye. This along with the fact that my wife's family in the early 1960s owned a cottage on the beach at Camber Sands increasingly firmed our resolve to re-visit Rye, It was this past July that we did return for a two-night stay.

Great value for your money. The Hope Anchor's location is a perfect place from which to explore Rye. We had the Castle View Room. It had a nice size, very modern bathroom with tub - All in all, very nice, clean, & comfortable room. The room overlooked the street below, the channel with ships, and Camber Castle off in the distance. Parking was no problem - the hotel gave us a permit to park in the circular parking area beside the hotel.

I'm pleased to say that the service at the hotel remains excellent, as is the food. The hotel’s staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We do look forward to a "more speedy return" to the Hope Anchor.

We discovered the hotel on the internet and we were so pleased with what we found. The reception from hotel staff was welcoming and we were made to feel special at every opportunity. Our room was cosy and spotlessly clean, food was to our liking and the atmosphere in the hotel was warm and friendly.
