Enticing window, clean but dated decor inside and staff friendly. Everything else appalling. Pasty and sausage roll heated in microwave and inedible coffee tastes like instant and totally overpriced. Worst experience for years.

We went there for a quick bit at lunchtime. From the outside the takeaway bar and the patisseries on display looked quite attractive. Given the weather however we decided to have our lunch in. The setting is quite warm and cosy, but it was very busy and the food disappointing, just average.

Cute little cafe with delicious pastries in the window to tempt us. Atmosphere inside was very cosy with log fire burning. Menu looked rather dated but we all enjoyed our tea and cakes. Prices were rather high.

Staff nice. Sweet place but Ridiculously overpriced. Not good. Don't bother at all, just go next door to Fletchers.

An interesting place, but some of the products look unchanged from the days of Mapp and Lucia. Pastry tends to the leaden, that sort of thing. But it's quaint, and I love hearing tourists get excited over Simon the Pieman.
