We love this pub and visit often. Food is served all day from 12 - 9.30pm. Unpretensious but food very good with great size portions. Friendly staff. Good garden for the better weather, and extremely doggy friendly. Highly recomended. Bus 29 [Brighton & Hove buses] stops right outside.

My wife and I visited this Pub/Restaurant last week and it was amazing. I read some other reviews on here but don't understand how they had bad experiences... Maybe they were unlucky i mean not everyone is happy. Also not many people actually write reviews regarding good times they've had but usually only the bad times so we thought we would give them some good credit. The Restaurant was very nice and service was good! Very polite and changed my order as im a fussy eater. The food was amazing an a little more expensive than other places. Your looking around £11 for a main course but for the quality of the food it is well worth it! Remember you get what you pay for and they use local fresh sourced produce. We had the mussels to start which i have to say were the best i have ever tasted in a creamy white wine sauce!

Very good experience and we be visiting again

Staff seemed rude and unattentive. Food was ok but was a horrible atmosphere and felt very unwelcome.

A trip to this pub restaurant was very disappointing. We had used this place on many previous occasions but this time the service was sloppy and the food just about adequate. A problem we encountered with service was dealt with in a very off hand manner, with landlord yet to make good on his promise to rectify the situation. We shall not be eating here again.

We booked an area in the pub for friends and family to meet the night before our wedding. The food was reasonable although a little pricey for what people ate. The area we hired was adequate and housed the large number of people in our crowd. However, the pub could have made an effort by doing a layout where people could sit together rather than having to be spread out over a random number of tables dotted all round the place. The staff were efficient in serving the alcohol but slow on delivering the food. The bill was quite expensive overall for the amount people had eaten and drunk - felt like they had put the prices up because they knew it was a large group and could get away with it. The decor is tired and the kids pointed out numerous cobwebs and dust balls lying about the place. I wouldn't like to go there in a smaller group as the rest of the pub was quiet and only about 8 other people besides ourselves were in the duration of the night. I think it needs a refurb!
