For cleanliness and service cannot be bettered,. From the warm welcome we recieved to the well cooked food, it felt like home from home. Our room was immaculate, as was the bathroom. The towels and bedding were crisp and clean, even the public areas and toilets were pristene! obviously the management take great pride in maintaining a high standard. we will definately be staying here again when next in Lewes

Nice enough little place and convenient for Amex Stadium, which is where we needed to be for a concert. Welcome, service and food good but. to great, but you get what you pay for and it did the job - wasn't looking for 5star haute cuisine, just good home cooking which this was. The room was huge, clean and furnished well. The bathroom was a little tired and could probably do with a bit of a makeover and the hair dryer didn't work. All in all good value.

Lovely we'll run Hotel, searched for an hotel , this was nearest to where we needed to be? What a wonderful surprise, for the money we were't expecting much....in the event this turned out to be a real Jem. Well run, comfortable, clean and friendly. Very professional team running the place, which showed in every aspect. The breakfast was superb.

Room Tip: Our room was at front facing dual carriageway, but not noises. perhaps the rear facing rooms would...

£79 for a tiny single room and I mean tiny for one night, disappointed. However food was good value and breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and have no issue there, the food and breakfast as said were very good value for money. However biggest issue was the room, for £79 I really would have expected far better, think I was in room 9 next to the fire door and was a constant bang bang bang with residents moving back and forth. The TV, well forgotten they made them that small and with a separate Freeview box, now in this day and age? 1 spare socket in the room so major fail with that! WIFI was Ok but if here on business forget any idea of desk space.

If it wasn't because it had been a long drive and my employer had booked me in, I probably would have driven on and booked in somewhere else afraid to comment.

Spent 2 nights at this hotel for the second year running while working at Brighton Racecourse.
Last year room so small less than 12 inches between the end of the bed and wall to walk down TV very small and bad connection. Fan from the kitchens right outside bedroom Window started up at 7.am and stopped 9.30pmPromised this year if we booked again we would be given a better room. Wrong , Same room given . Next year we will find somewhere else.

Room Tip: Don't let them give you room 7 or 8

The reviews I read before staying here worried me slightly. But as soon as I walked in, gearing up for a 5 week stay, I knew I was going to be comfortable. A lot of reviews complain about the road noise. Don't choose a hotel which clearly states they are on the A27 then! I was in room 5, on the front of the pub and found the road noise of no inconvenience at all! The room was clean, double bed and en suite. The managers and their family were extremely welcoming and I could not have been happier. The carvery is extremely well priced, no fat on the meat, fresh veg. Menu items are cooked well, are quick to arrive and piping hot. The locals were very welcoming and made you feel at home. I will most definitely come back, especially if going to London, as the transport links are fantastic from here. Zero complaints, thanks for having me, I'll be back!!!
