Description: Limetree Kitchen’s pledge is to produce exceptional dishes, created from only the very finest quality ingredients with minimal wastage. We take pride in our ‘nose to tail’ philosophy of using every part of the animal, to create unique dishes with the highest welfare standards of the animal in mind. Our Small Plates offer a more varied choice of dishes, less constricted by the limitations of a set two or three course menu, providing you with a taste of Limetree Kitchen’s signature style of cuisine. This more relaxed approach to eating out stays true to our love for creating exciting and unique food in line with the restaurant’s nose to tail ethos Here’s your chance to experiment with many new taste experiences in one sitting, perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own, with portions that are small in size but big on flavour!

Chose this restaurant because it is in walking distance of the train station. Recommend it for the quality of the food. Limetree describes itself as a small plate restaurant, I would describe it as an a la carte menu. The portion of what you order is substantial, however a protein, carb and veg need to be ordered individually.

I ordered a pork chop and it might be the best pork chop, I've ever had. Our group shared the truffled green beans, the first time a group raved about green beans.

Service was casual, which meant some wait times, it also meant they were willing to call us a taxi and let us wait at our table until it arrived.

Had a really lovely lunch here. Great idea to have a tapas style meal as you get to try so many more different dishes (although it does make it quite expensive). All the food was creative and tasty. There were veggie and vegan options. The service was friendly, patient and on time. The atmosphere was relaxed and the little garden out the back delightful.

I was surprised in these parts that there was no non-dairy milk and also no mayonnaise but these were minor issues in what was otherwise a really lovely meal.

Feta salad, roast veg, cod cheek, rump (more than expected), lamb kofkas, 2 glasses white falanghina, then 2x Pimitivo £73.45. Excellent food, would certainly go back.

A different concept from the usual three course menu. Menu is on a chalk board divided into Vegetarian, Fish, Meat and we were advised that folks usually have two/three of the small plates each. We had two each and shared them, plus a portion of the best chips I’ve had for a long time! Everything was really tasty. The dessert also kept up the high standard. Not the cheapest but definitely good value.
