“Overnight Stay”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

We stayed for one night, couldn't find the house at first! Knocked next door, who happened to be the owner. The French gentleman was very helpful with restaurants nearby. We arrived very cold,
The room was lovely an warm, he showed us the pool but we declined. The jacuzzi in the room was nice nice we got the gentleman back down to switch the plug on it ! (Didn't realise)
The room wasn't the cleanest, cobwebs on light fitting an dusty in bathroom, I dropped something an when i picked it up was really dirty, couldn't work the toilet bidet etc, as others have stated.
The bed was a small double my other half being 6'3 found it uncomfortable as feet on headboard! At bottom of bed. Breakfast was cold but may have been our fault as he asked what time we would like breakfast we said about 8.30 an when we arrived at 8.35i didn't realise it was going to be already cooked, so when we did get it, it was cold An very small. We asked for tea he then bought some hot water to go with the tea bags.
It was an ok stay for our purpose, the jacuzzi was nice, but if it hadn't be for that I don't think we will be rushing back.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1 right next to the front door.

We stayed for one night to sample the delights of Hastings. We arrived outside the front door and rung the intercom and waited for some time until the intercom was answered. We were told "I will come" and proceeded to wait in the cold for some time before the door was opened. We were warmly welcomed and were taken to be shown our room but we were asked to wait as a light bulb had blown in the room and was being fixed. We were left us with our luggage on the stairwell/landing (after walking up three flights of stairs) while he went down stairs to get the room key. He was friendly and showed us the all the facilities such as the Japanese toilet seat (warm seat with squirty washy bidet thing), the Japanese jacuzzi and outdoor pool. We enjoyed the outside pool, became frustrated when filling the jacuzzi in our room as it took so long to fill up; As the bathroom area was in the room the room was damp and smelly which we told them later about and he said he would look into it, The view from the room was ok which from speaking to other guests was the only thing that we could see that we had paid extra for. The walls were thin, the windows were either open fully or closed there were no net curtains which meant you had to keep the curtains drawn, the bed was comfortable.

To top it all the breakfast service was not good we waited for a long time to be served, which never happened the waiter./ staff came in twice and ignored us. In the end I went to look for him and managed to find him in a room sitting on the bed on his laptop. The bread was dry from being left out and the breakfast when it came was a bit greasy, Coffee and tea provided were good,

Overall in our experience the accommodation was overpriced, with a mish mash of artifacts that tried to give a French Japenese feel but failed.

Room Tip: We feel it was overpriced, wont go back

I stayed a night here with my girlfriend. The front door was open when we arrived and when we entered we tiptoed around the hotel looking for the reception as there were no signs indicating there was one. Eventually I walked into a room with the lights off to find a man reclining on a sofa with his laptop. I apologised thinking he was a guest but it transpired he was one of the owners. He showed us our room which was clean and large and had a Jacuzzi. This is not worth the extra money as it only had one tap and it would have taken around 5 hrs to fill! As it was late we both left for a meal and when we came back the door to our room would not open. The owners both tried the lock but failed to gain entrance. Undeterred one of them explained that this was a common occurrence and that the other would climb through the window to open the door from the other side. Quite apart from the fact that this was an invasion of our privacy it seemed farcical that this was the only option. They offered me a drink as way of an apology (although not my girlfriend).
In the morning we went to have breakfast. In "the reception room now turned into a dining area" we met another couple who had just had breakfast. I asked them how to enquire about having a cooked breakfast and the reply was a shrug of the shoulders and a bemused look of resignation. "We haven't seen anyone so we've just stocked up on toast" was the reply.
I went hunting again for the owners and found one of them in what looked suspiciously like a kitchen. He agreed to cook us both English breakfasts and to be fair it was very good.
So overall then I'd have to say not worth the price I paid for an average B&B experience.

Basic but nice rooms, very clean hot tub was amazing although after a while it was too hot to sit in, was able to watch tv and enjoy drinks while in hot tub, walls quite thin was able to hear couple next to us having a 'good time'. Breakfast was nice, choice of cereals, toast and a full English on request, great location if want to be near beach.

We wanted a nice and cheap B&B as was my partners birthday, we were a little nervous as its Hastings and well boring! But a friend had told us about this place and fpor £58 we couldnt moan.

We stayed in the superior room which was small but ok the jacuzzi was amazing! took about half a hour to fill but not surprised as was huge! We even skipped breakfast so we could have another in the morning so can not comment on the breakfast?

We had a lovely stay memory foam mattress is not for us though but still slept, really cold fridge and tea/coffee in the room which was very nice

Hastings town was dead and the people let it down, just had a nice meal walking back to get a cab and a buch of young adults were drunk, one girl just pulled her trousers down and had a wee in the middle of the street so do not go into hastings at night!

however we will be staying in the B&B again as we didnt get totry out the pool outside!

Room Tip: Superior room was awesome!
