“Good Doggy Friendly Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2014

We have stayed here 18 months ago and thought we'd return with our dog. As i had mentioned in the review of our first stay, although it is dog friendly it's clean and there's no doggy smell as you'd expect.

Reception staff were nice, efficient and friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lights in the bathroom take a little while to brighten up so don't leave it until the last minute to see what you are doing!!!

As we had the four legged friend we thought we'd take advantage of the novelty of having a meal in the dog friendly restaurant. Plenty on the menu to pick from and to be fair it was quite good - not the place for a romantic or a special occasion but not bad at all. The puds were the best I think. The service was a little slow considering they were not busy and the staff could of been a bit more enthusiastic but I really enjoyed the time in there.

The breakfast was good, especially the veggie option. The ginger haired girl who served us was lovely.

In all it's a good hotel but starting to look a little tired in places but I think that may be the character of it with its small corridors and staircases.

Room Tip: Good Seaview rooms

We booked this hotel based mostly on the trip advisor reviews and we weren't disappointed. There is a convenient car park out the back which didn't get full when we stayed (but it was cold January). The room had no view and it was down a warren of stairs and corridors, but the bed was comfortable and the shower worked fine though the water pressure may have been quite soft.
The view is great at breakfast and well worth trying to sit outside if you can, and watch the world walk by.
The staff were friendly.
We would stay here again.

We were only in Hastings for a couple of hours on our drive around East Sussex and fancied a coffee. This hotel had outside seating overlooking the sea which looked very inviting, especially as it was a lovely morning.i went inside to order some coffees and the waitress I saw was pleasant enough and said she would bring them out. The interior looked very tired and wouldn't encourage me to come back and stay at any time. When the drinks eventually arrived the coffees weren't bad but the pot of tea was wishy washy and the hot chocolate watery, not good at all.

It was a shame I didn't arrive earlier to take advantage of the really appealing dinner menu - it was a bit late so just had the anti pasti which was great though.

The staff were really friendly and helpful,. The room was very clean and I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. Also appreciated there was more than one teabag in the room and the toileteries were a real treat.

Will be returning.

Spent one night here rather expensive and no breakfast included ! Clean modern hotel room was rather small and couldn't open the French doors to let air in. Bed king size was comfortable and bath was nice and large. Forgot our toothpaste but the hotel had run out so couldn't help. Not good. Ideal location on front opposite pier. Nice bar and terrace area.

I stay here all the time with my work and love it. It has become a home from home for me with the comfortable rooms, most have a big bathtub, good selection of channels etc. The food and drink are excellent and the "Jill" is a perfect size breakfast to start the day. The staff are fantastic and you feel like a friend from check in to check out. Location is a nice 2 min walk from high St and 10 from old town and the views of the beach are are great way to wake up.

I highly recommend this to anyone staying in Hastings and look forward to taking my family down to stay here

We are staying here for 1 night and the room is clean and tidy .BUT the wind and noise from the windows is terrible the blind on the window is blowing as the draft from the so called double glazing is so bad .We had to ask for the heating to go on but have NO heating in the bathroom and it was very cold after asking for the second time we still had no heating .Was the room worth the £84 with no breakfast NO.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here
