Tucked away toward the end of the delightful George Street in Old Town Hastings, the Hastings Arms, run by Sue and Hazel who I met when I visited to have a bite to eat and get out of the cold wind, is a lovely old pub that was originally an 18th century smuggling haunt.

Great location, great vibe, great food and great people - and a special thanks to the chef who whipped up a wonderfully delicious meal for me even though the kitchen had just closed!

Just been and had Sunday dinner in the Hastings. Could not fault the lamb or beef roast dinner. Great food, ample servings and great taste. Still not had a bad meal here.

Staff are great and know their stuff, we love it in here, a real pub with a open log fire, dog friendly and to top it off the food is top notch .. oh and the beer is flowing, you can always try the Sunday lunch ,best in town by miles . I have always pointed people in the direction of this place.
All up and running with WiFi just ask at the bar for the code and your sorted.
They also have a few open mic nights if you fancy seeing some local talent .. your be surprised as it does get packed . I can say its one place that's in Hastings that every night is different .RubyTuesday curry night excellent, Thursday night Tapas and its the biz Can't fault the place ..If your up on Holiday take time out to find this pub in the Old town

If you want good home cooked food in a friendly, cosy pub, then you must visit the Hastings Arms. We went twice In one week and had completely different meals and the food is absolutely outstanding. There are open fires and the staff are extremely helpful and it is dog friendly. Next time I go to Hastings, I will go back more times and try the different things on the menu.

This is a great traditional pub set in the heart of the old town. The pub doesn't look that inviting from the outside but get inside and it's a very different story. The open fire is a great feature.

I think this is probably the best value pub food I have ever had. A good selection on the menu so the only difficult choice will be what to have.

This pub is consistently excellent, second time in two weeks and will be back again in the very near future, want to try the Tuesday night curry night too ...

Great selection of beers too :)

Barman very helpful and friendly.

See you soon :)

Thanks

Nathan
