Absolutely amazing cottage with fantastic caring owners who share their grounds with you.
Pool was great, our 2 year old loved it.
Great location, Rye and Hastings a short drive.
Little chilly for the walks with a 2 year old but we will be returning to explore further .. wish we had booked longer .
We were so impressed with our two night stay for our family of five, kids aged 5,8 and 10.
Firstly, we stayed in swallows nest, which was spotlessly clean, very warm and cosy and well appointed. Beds very comfy, towels fluffy, kids loved their separate room. We were impressed that the owners had also gone to the trouble of supplying fresh ,milk, fresh fruit and other goodies.
Secondly, we used the pool each day. There were lots of inflatables for the kids, and it was wRm, critical when with young children. We got to use the jacuzzi hot tub outside, under the stars, and it was a magical moment for us all.
We went for a walk down to the beach, along a small river, which was so picturesque and fun.
Basically, we could not find fault, so thank you!
The whole family loved it. Both the cottage and the grounds are stunning. We are already planning our next trip!
Just arrived home from another great stay in swallows nest cottage. We stayed for xmas everything was great and lights around garden amazing, the kids loved them. In laws had the other cottage badgers den which was equally fab. Chris and eric cant do enough to help. We love this place and will be returning soon.
Wow what a find, myself and my wife stayed in swallows nest for two nights.
My biggest problem was i didn't want to leave.
Very clean and very comfortable, use of the pool and hot tub is just the icing on the cake.
We have been booking self-catering cottages for nearly forty years now and Swallows Nest is probably one of the best establishments we have stayed in. Chris and Erick have thought of everything. The enormous bed is so comfortable and it's only the delightfully bathroom with it's jacuzzi bath and underfloor heating that will persuade you to get up in the morning. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack was extremely generous. The gardens are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and you really are made to feel very welcome. This is not just a business for Chris and Erick it's an obvious passion. Well done guys. Be sure to visit Rye and Winchelsea and the nearby National Trust properties. Batemans, home of Rudyard Kipling is particularly interesting. There are many walks from the cottage and the views are amazing. The Two Sawyers pub and The Sussex Exchange are highly recommended. You won't regret booking either Swallows Nest or Badgers Ben, we certainly didn't.
Swallows Nest is a lovely cottage for a break. Immaculately clean, fantastically comfortable bed! The hosts are very friendly and gave us a tour of the pool and hot tub area very soon after arrival.
The welcome pack and flowers are a lovely touch and very much appreciated.
Loved having the pool to use and there are some lovely walks right on the doorstep. Couldn't fault a thing, fabulous.,
