The staff are friendly , always willing to help .The full English breakfast is very nice , the rooms are clean and tidy . There is a pub attached to the rooms which belongs to the same people which is really nice if you fancy a meal and night cap

First time at this hotel & restaurant, although me & my partner love Hastings.

Great location, literally around the corner from the town, but don't let this put you off - didn't hear a thing.

The food was superb - we had the Valentine's menu but said we would go back for another dinner and try their lunch menu - the food was that good. Breakfast choice was great and really good quality food - well done to the chef here.

Really good choice of bar drinks and the wine was really nice too.

The rooms are quite basic, but for the overall experience and atmosphere, I would definitely come back and stay.

Staff were great, nothing was an issue and they were very helpful & polite.

Look out for their Friday night live music - we experienced a lovely Jazz evening, which topped off the night, with a bottle of Red & cheese board in the bar.

Will be back on our next visit, hoping the sun is out!

I've lived in Hastings for 10 years previously and pleased with the price and the room staying here for the first time. The room was large and it had a great shower, we didn't have breakfast their but have eaten there before and enjoyed the food. Our only gripe was the bed itself, felt every spring and it was too soft. Other than that it was a perfect stay.

I was in Hastings for my husband's gig so we decided to stay overnight. The hotel and the room was all very clean and tidy. The bed was lovely and soft, melted into it and had a brilliant nights sleep. The staff were all very nice and helpful. It is good that they have a main front door so you can come and go as you please as we got back quite late and had no trouble getting back in.

A double plus single room, lovely breakfast for two, free secure car parking, friendly and helpful staff, and in the centre of town all for £40! Why does this review have to be 200 character when I can say it in less!

We had the good fortune of a local recommending us this place in the centre of town after getting stranded in Hastings following the big storm of 2013. We had a lovely stay in spacious room with all mod cons, conveniently located. Very friendly staff who were attentive and informative.Tasty breakfast too!

I stayed at the Town House Rooms last month with my wife and two little boys for a weekend visiting friends and overall we found the stay very pleasant with attractive contemporary decor in the large family bedroom and a delicious breakfast served on the Sunday morning.

THE VENUE: On arrival you enter the venue via the jazz bar/pub downstairs, but thereafter, you room key gives you access from a side door which takes you straight into the Town House Rooms. The room (I forget the number) was a large corner room with king size bed, two arm chairs, sofa (converted to a sofa bed for us), large TV, desk and large bath/shower ensuite. The only negative, which is just a side effect from being town centre located is the road noise at night time; on the whole it was very quiet, but around 3am were woken by a post-night-out group, followed by another awakening at 4am from some boy racers.

THE STAFF: The owner was very helpful in the run up to the stay and continued so in guiding us to the large, multi-storey car park opposite the venue despite it being lunchtime at the pub. The car parking is free of charge with tickets obtained at the same time as your room key; very, very handy!! Overall, we found all the staff to be very helpful and polite.

THE FOOD: We didn't eat in the pub/restaurant for anything other than breakfast, but the breakfast was delicious; full english, coffee/tea, cereal and toast.

HASTINGS: What a surprisingly lovely town! The old town is full of character and the fishing fleet (the largest fishing beach in Europe) stationed on the beach proved to an excellent spot for photos. There was even a miniature railway for the boys to ride on!!

THE VERDICT: I would recommend visiting Hastings and, if you do, staying here at the Town House Rooms; I personally would stay here again when we visit our friends next. Thank you!
