What a lovely little local pub in Hastings Old Town! From the moment one walks in the door, you feel as though you have walked into the very fabric of local life in Hastings Old Town. I love it!

Visited on Saturday evening down from Eltham, very nice pub with a lot of welcoming 'locals' who made us very welcome - perfect place to unwind after some serious shopping and enjoy a pint or 3 !
Cheers

We had friends for the weekend and wanted somewhere good to eat which was not expensive. Having eaten here before we decided to go again. I rang early morning and they we already booked for the times we wanted. Dennis was very helpful and managed to squeeze us in - thank you! A great meal was had by all. They serve a fab Sunday lunch. Didn't have enough room for dessert! I would recommend booking. Well done The Anchor

We popped in for a quick drink and a sandwich at lunchtime.
Very welcoming with an open fire.
Good draught beer and very good crab sandwiches, staff also very pleasant.
From the menu they obviously specialise in local fresh fish

Popped in for a couple of drinks and stayed for food, the service was friendly and they welcomed our dogs with treats and a water bowl.
We sat in the bar area as with dogs understandably we could not eat in the restaurant.
The food was home cooked and tasty and very reasonably priced.
