“Lovely mini break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013

We booked a Friday-Monday break very last minute and got it for a fantastic price, I was slightly apprehensive after some of the reviews on here but we had a great family weekend away, the children's entertainment was fantastic and staff really went above and beyond to help make it a fun family break. The food was good value for money and we really enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings. The one thing I will say is that it is very 'hilly' and perhaps not suitable was less able bodied but we enjoyed the work out we got from the hill walking. There are some lovely woodland walks nearby too. All in all we had great time.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here in September 2012, we did not find it too hilly but our caravan was very dirty. Our caravan was old and decor a bit twee but liveable as it was a cheap deal anyway. I didn't like the fact that the carpets were black with dirt, that there was mould spots on one of the beds and the curtains, some fuzzy stuff living in the sink overflow drain and that the window bit above the shower was all mouldy. Foolishly we didn't complain but when we arrived having these reviews in mind, we asked for an upgrade and the enthusiasm from reception was underwhelming and no upgrade was given of which of course we would have paid for and made that clear. My allergies were playing me up big time, probably because I'm allergic to pet hair and the caravan stunk of wet dog. We're a pretty laid back family to be honest and considering I'd paid almost just some loose change for the holiday could have made do with a quick spruce up myself (Kim and Aggy have nothing on me) if the park was otherwise entertaining. It wasn't though, kids entertainment each night only lasted about 20 mins and then it was bingo or nothing, clubhouse was always shutting around 10.30-11 (not good for those without kids) It was a but chilly for the pool so can't really comment on that but it looked clean. Walking wise, hills were not a bother for us sprightly young things to conquer but have to say my car breaks probably suffered somewhat! If they invested a bit of cash for entertaining and some proper cleaning regime they'd be onto a winner (so long as they told elderly or infirm that it's hilly). Location was good and park so boring we fitted everything in so quickly, and given the rough state of the place decided to leave a day early to seek a better solstice in our own much cleaner residence...our own home!

Room Tip: Go for an upgrade and specify not doggy friendly rooms (unless you have a dog) also learn from our m...

Thank you for taking the time to review your holiday with us here at Beauport Holiday Park. We are sorry if elements of your break, did not meet your expectations but I would like to thank you for the points which you have raised. However as you stayed with us in 2012 improvements have since been made to our caravans and to the Park.

We stayed at this caravan site in October. Nice woodland, nature location is the only plus point. The gas ran out four times during our stay - including the last night so we were sat cold with no heat, cooker, shower or hot water. Incorrect bedding was supplied on arrival. The caravan was filthy with mould on blinds and bedroom walls. No lighting was on the outside of the caravan for the entire fortnight holiday and the pathway to the caravan was uneven and dangerous. The caravan was surrounded by mud. The toilet developed a leak during our stay with water spreading throughout the bathroom and under the door into the kitchen area. Our numerous verbal complaints were treated condescendingly and not rectified. We have sought legal advice on our return since a written complaint has also been disregarded. Worst two weeks of my life, our holiday experience here was disgusting - avoid this place like the plague - or risk catching it.

Room Tip: Avoid this holiday park at all costs - save your money and your health!

we arrived for a 4 day break in half term. I totally agree with the other reviews about finding your caravan and the directions/ signposts- there arent any! it took us over 40 mins to find our caravan. Once we did find it we were very pleased, it was modern, clean and a great size. There is an outdoor pool and playground, and a clubhouse. The clubhouse prices are a bit expensive and there is no childrens area to keep the little ones amused. The location of the park is great and an ideal base to tour hastings and surrounding areas. I love the fact the park is in a wooded area, and not regimental like so many other parks but if your looking for a lively park then Coghurst will probably suit you better. This park is ideal for walks and relaxing times, but it does need to improve its signposting! the staff were all very friendly.

Room Tip: make sure you take a flashlight to find your way around in the evenings!

Booked a last minute 7 night break at beauport park and to be honest was not expecting that much as it was out of season. On arrival we were met by a friendly face in reception who gave us a map to our caravan. After reading reviews before we went i thought that some reviewers maybe over exaggerating about the directions in this park. HOW WRONG CAN I BE !!!!.The place is a maze and it took nearly 40 minutes to find our caravan.Once found i was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was.We only used the park as a base ,but did try the club on our second night and sad to say was very poor.We arrived about 9pm to find the bar staff hoovering up and messing about on the microphone with no thought for anybody in the bar.We were told they were cleaning up as it saves time in the morning!!! The park itself is extremely hilly and we did not explore the park as we were unsure if we could find our caravan again! The lighting around the park is very poor and in the dark evenings could be dangerous we had to use our phones to see where we were going. Definately wont return to this park although enjoyed Hastings very much i am sure there are better places to stay

Firstly id just like to say, we have been and stayed at quite a few caravan parks over the years and many we have arrived at at instantly left due to awful caravans and facilities. we were very apprehensive about trying again but really needed some quality family time away and so went for Beauport Park on a Sun £9.50 break.
We were soooo happy with our choice!!! this place is lovely!! on arrival the reception staff were fantastic , happy and very helpful. yes the signposting isnt great and its like a maze trying to find your caravan - we did get lost but the kids thought it was hilarious and we just laughed until we found or van! we didnt upgrade and so were wondering what we would find, other than having no net curtains we were so pleased with the caravan, it was very clean, lots of utensils and equipment to use. we did take some little fan heaters with us to use as we knew it would be cold at night. we loved the fact that you were in the middle of the woods instead of row upon row of boring campsite vans like all the others we have been to. The club house is a lovely little bar, we didnt eat here but saw many families enjoying food that looked yummy, it was the 'park finals' as entertainment and so we stayed for the kids to have a little fun and then made our way back for the evening, we liked the fact that the clubhouse was small and intimate and the entertainment wasnt sooo cheesy and camp like other sites we have used.
we went down to Hastings seafront both on Saturday and Sunday and were pleasently surprised to find that alot of the seafront has been done up and is now great! little parks and crazy golf, icecream and snack shacks, lots of choice and lots of things to do, the fact that it was beautful and sunny both days made all the difference, eating chips and icecream on the pebble beach was great!
Sat night our electricity in the van went off, we just rang security and they were shortly with us and had it sorted within minutes - very polite guys, asked permission to come in and check and really chirpy fellas.
we will defo be returning to Beauport Park in the future - now we have found this hidden gem we wont waste our time being dissapointed trying out other parks.

We stayed in one of the Gold Plus lodges, right at the far end of the park. As previously stated when you arrive and get map and directions to your lodge you still find it very difficult to find yours. We stayed four days, and were never quite sure how to get to it!
The lodge is very nice, with loads of space and storage, two double bedrooms, two shower rooms and loos. Obviously an owned lodge, with many of the owners' stuff such as cleaning products etc, but we had taken our own so didn't use. However no loo roll so take your own! A few little problems like the toaster only worked when you physically held the lever down, and the switches for bathroom and towel rails hard to master. We needed a bit of heating, but the central heating boiler was hard to work out too.
The site does have many very steep hills and would not suit all. We stayed in the first week of October, all rain but for one day. So we had a wander round the site, but the hills were too much and soon returned to base.
We only went to the clubroom bar/restaurant once, for lunch on Thursday, but were told that the kitchens were closed!
We only used the site as a base, so didn't look at any of the other amenities, but we are not sure whether we would go back in the future.

Room Tip: Go for the Gold Plus lodges
