We spent two nights at Northrise Lodge which has to be the best B & B we have ever stayed in. The rooms are immaculate - spotlessley clean, beautifully designed and colour co-ordinated with superb en-suite and power shower. Everything matched, was functional, worked, and well chosen. Throughout the house this continues, from the lovely wide hallway and stairs, to the breakfast room which is equally well thought out and welcoming. The hosts, Andrea & Nick, are so helpful and welcoming but not overbearing. Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to own liking. The location is far enough out of town to be peaceful, with ample parking alongside the rear entrance, yet close enough for a cheap taxi ride into town or a choice of buses stop right outside. Bedding and towels are superb quality, and a heated towel rail offers that extra bit of luxury. We will certainly be back whenever we are anywhere in that area.

Room Tip: We saw our room (Marple) and one more (Rosemary & Thyme) - both equally lovely.

Stayed at Northrise Lodge with the wife end of June 2012. Our room ("Marple") was stunning, even better than the photos suggested (which is unusual!), the en suite was equally attractive. The owners, Nick & Andrea, were friendly, helpful and had plenty of good suggestions for restaurants when we asked them for advice. They made us feel more like friends coming to visit than just customers, and were always smiling. We've stayed in a number of B&Bs on the south coast and elsewhere in the UK over the years and this was definitely one of the best. We would recommend it to any of our friends and family without a moment's hesitation.

What a great find ! We had a wonderful visit to Hastings and we especially enjoyed our stay at the Northrise Lodge.
Nick and Andrea are exceptional hosts, always helpful and genuinely kind people. The room we stayed in was fabulous, the bed was great as was the very stylish bathroom and the lovely decor.

This place is a real gem and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it , the breakfast was wonderful too. If I could give it 6 stars I would !

I can also recommend the real ale pub in town, ( thanks Nick ), and a lovely Spanish restaurant in the old town , ( I forget the name ).

I visit the Hastings area quite often and I am so pleased I have found Northrise Lodge. Wonderful hosts and beautiful, comfortable surroundings. I wished I was staying longer but I have already booked my return visit in a few weeks - can't wait! I would have no hesitation in recommending Northrise Lodge to everyone visiting the area. Many thanks Andrea and Nick! Jo, Oxfordshire

Room Tip: All seem to be decorated to a very high standard and very comfortable.
