“First class meal”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

We saw this restaurant as we were driving through St Leonards and decided to give it a try.
We were not disappointed. My husband had the ra ra prawns and I had Himalayan curry.
The food was exquisite and definitely the best Nepalese we had ever eaten.
The service was also excellent and we were made very welcome.
We enjoyed it so much we returned the following day and ate there again. If only it were a bit nearer to home we be regulars as we are already missing it!!!

“Great food and service but not the house wine!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

This is a lovely little restaurant on the seafront, with delightful and courteous staff. Despite there being a large party of diners on that night, all the other tables were well served, without the need to wait too long to order. We had the Kathmandu chicken, with a selection of side dishes which was absolutely delicious. The only thing was that both the house white and red wines were dreadful! After having a glass of each, we ended up spending a further £13.95 for a bottle of far more palatable Merlot, which despite not finishing it we were at least able to take home with us. Would nevertheless still return to this restaurant and be prepared to spend a little more on drinks.

“waited for 2 hours for our meal”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

When the food did finally arrive our appetites where gone. From ordering it took about 30 minutes for our starter to arrive and a further 1.5 hours for the meal.

The kids were stir crazy and ended up filling themselves up with drinks. No apology. no advice on when the food would be arriving. My daughter and son were asleep when it finally arrived.

“Fabulous food, slow service”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The food couldn't be faulted. There's a separate vegan menu with delicious choices. The butternut squash was particularly delicious. When we arrived, the restaurant was full, so the slow service was to be expected. However it was so slow that by the time we left, there were only two other tables and it was still very hard to get a waiter's attention, followed by a long wait. It's a great shame. I think we just picked the wrong night to visit! Did I mention the food is fantastic?

First Nepalese ever & actually so much more refined than Indian food. A pleasant surprise...not fancy but excellent food.
