I am not a fan of accommodation in residential areas - problems with parking and limited garden space for relaxing. The Tower promised an exceptional garden and good facilities. The hotel has some elegant features dressed in a beautiful decor. But time has faded the Tower's best aspects and a failure to maintain them detracts from the experience. We would not stay here again. We always want something better than average.

Just got back from a short weekend break around the Hastings area - my partner and I were looking for a reasonably priced B&B which is exactly what we got. The staff are very helpful and offer great advice of the local area, and can't do enough for you.
The room was OK and can't really complain with the price we paid - it was clean and comfortable. Parking was not an issue as there was plenty of free spaces right outside the hotel.
In terms of location we felt it was a bit too far out of the town - we wanted to head to Hastings each night and had to get a Taxi, I am sure we could have walked but it would have been a good 30 minute walk into town.
A great idea was the 'honesty bar' which allowed self service of drinks any time of day, there was not much choice but enough to keep you satisfied for a pre meal drink chilling out in the Garden or lounge area.

Just had a lovely stay in the beautifully appointed Tower House 1066. Extremely warm welcome after a long drive, no problem parking. Beautiful looking building, lovely conservatory lounge and bar. Small but perfectly formed bedroom, with big windows, massive bed and ensuite shower room. Walked the mile into the Old Town for dinner, perfect recommendation by our lovely host. Taxi back at 22.00 for £5, then a blissful sleep in our egyptian cotton sheets.

A very pleasant stay for one night. Comfortable room - I booked at short notice and was told that the two remaining rooms were small. Our room (7) was small but totally adequate and had a reasonable sized en suite shower room attached.  I'm a big fella (6'4") and the room did not feel cramped for me. Everything was in good order, a nice comfortable double bed with clean linen, clean towels etc. The shower was great: Clean, temperature and height easily adjustable, good pressure. The heating was on all night and the rooms radiator was adjustable. The owner Louise was present on arrival and departure and she came across as being a genuine caring person whose main aim is to ensure that guests enjoy their stay...All of the above make such a nice contrast compared to other similarly priced b&b's that I've stayed in where sometimes standards do not quite meet expectations. Here it was refreshingly different with a clear commitment to achieving the best in everything they do.
Good breakfast, plenty of toast and a general manner from staff that nothing would be a problem. The breakfast lady was very pleasant and accommodating. Plenty of juice, cereal, toast, and a decent size cooked breakfast & large teapot.
Parked right outside, even if there hadn't have been a gap outside, there was plenty of free parking in the road. Close to Bohemia Road and the town accessible by car or taxi, perhaps a rather long way to walk to the town however on the plus side, being away from the town there was no unwanted noise at all so an excellent nights sleep and confidence that my car was parked in a safe place.
Although we didn't have time to make full use of it, the back garden looked spacious and nice.

Stayed at Tower House 1066 for one night. The greeting was friendly if informal. Assistance provided when requested to find a place to eat.

Room was spacious with all the necessary facilities. Looked newly decorated.

Breakfast good. Wide choice of eight different cereals and fruit. Range of cooked options.

On street parking.

Good value for money and would choose Tower House 1066 again if staying in Hastings.
