“Fantastic fresh and tasty Lebanese food”
Reviewed October 31, 2011

In a street of pretty average restaurants, this place stands out by miles. The food is always beautifully prepared and such good value we often wonder why the prices haven't inflated in the last 3 or 4 years we've been coming here. The set menu is a steal with a beautiful selection of mixed meze followed by a choice of mains, or if you're feeling more adventurous you can go off piste on to the extensive al a carte. Good Lebanese beer (Almaza) and fabulous wine (Chateau Kefraya) which complements the food. The owner and staff are always friendly and the service is attentive and timely. Since Kambi's closed there's only one serious contender in Brighton for this kind of food and Alrouche is it.

“Friendly and great value”
Reviewed August 2, 2011

We have visited Al Rouche on a number of occasions and always come away feeling happy and very full (in a good way!). This is a family run restaurant, with a homely feel, with tasty food and wine at a bargain price - the lebanese coffee is a really great too. They do an excellent set meal where you start with a large mixed sharing plate filled with a variety of starters, then a choice of main course and coffee/tea. I can't remember the exact price for this but I have a feeling it is only £11.95 per person, with the excellent house wine, which was a pino grigio for around £8.25. One of our favourite places to relax in Brighton.
