Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed November 11, 2009

My boyfriend and I are non vegetarians, but decided to give Terre a Terre a try when we recently visited Brighton, after it was recommended to me by my boss. I'm really glad we went, as the food was fabulous. What was even better, there was a promotion on - "Eat my Words" to celebrate the launch of the new cook book, and consisted of three courses for £13.50! Do try the apple cake and the bramble ripple clotted ice cream - It's deeeelicious. The staff were friendly and offered an excellent service.

When we next visit Brighton, I will definitely be visiting Terre a Terra again.

“A vege restaurant that even the most hardened carnivore would appreciate!”
Reviewed November 1, 2009

To start with I am going to admit that my partner and I are dedicated carnivores and love meat, HOWEVER after trying numerous restaurants in Brighton during our week away there, this was by far our favourite! The food was incredibly tasty and really inventive. There was no 'pretend meat' which we appreciated and although we didn't really have a clue what we were ordering we were by no means disappointed.
The service is also really good and very friendly and they do some good cocktails!

“fantastic cooking”
Reviewed October 7, 2009

We had terre a tapas,a selection of dishes and this was exquisitely tasty. In fact so good that the main course of sushi(Miso Pretty) seemed stodgy and uninteresting in comparison and lacked the lightness of touch so apparent in the starters.Would definitely go back but would try a different main course next time.

“Astonishingly good”
Reviewed September 15, 2009

Terre a Terre is without question the best vegetarian restaurant in the country. The food is incredible. It is really inventive and unashamedly vegetarian - no pretend meat, just really top notch imaginative dishes. The food is beautifully presented. This is one restaurant that even the most hardened carnivore would appreciate. The service is also really good and very friendly. Really good for vegans too, with plenty of choice and astonishingly good puddings. It is worth the trip from London, just to go to this restaurant. The tiniest criticism is that the menu descriptions are a little pretentious and it is sometimes a little difficult to work out exactly what you are ordering, but that doesn't detract from a really outstanding restaurant

“Fantastic meal - even for carnivors like us”
Reviewed September 7, 2009

Amazing cuisine. Even our kids loved it (and God knows they aren't normally veggie lovers). We've been there twice and love the tapas platter which allows you to taste a number of dishes. It looks and tastes wonderful. I'm not sure it is low-fat but most good things in life aren't :-)
