Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

We had another delicious lunch yesterday - the food perfect and the service excellent as always. This is our favourite restaurant and it didn't disappoint. See you soon!

I think this restaurant is trading on it's past reputation. Newly reopened with, presumably, new chefs, last night's experience was in stark contrast to previous visits. The food was a travesty of fried cheese and unidentifiable greasy, over battered attempts to mimic meat dishes. I found it largely inedible mostly due to what tasted like the overuse of salt.

Last night we attended a party and were given a party menu.
The food on this menu was some of the most unhealthy food I have encountered on a menu.
Not being funny it was like a Scottish Chip shop chef had deigned the menu!
Everything deep Fried or melted cheese as for the sodium content i would have thought that illegal in these times.

Utterly disapointing, dont have yourbirthday parties here as it may be your last.

We are so sorry you didn't enjoy your meal we only wish you mentioned it at the time. As I said in my email the party planner had agreed to a party menu with options that may not have suited your diet but we would have happily offered something suitable off the a la carte menu on the night or should you have let us know in advance that you were interested in a low sodium meal with no fried elements Chef would have gladly created a bespoke meal for you. Please contact us directly if you wish to come again and we will choose a dish to match your tastes.

I have been wanting to eat here for a very long time. They have just reopened after a fire and it was as good as I had anticipated.
The food is exceptional. We opted for the fixed price 'tapas' platter to share which meant we got to sample half a dozen delicious dishes. The food is so good and unique. I am not a vegetarian but i do like vegetarian food and if I could cook like this I would even give up bacon!
The staff were great, the service really good.
We went at lunchtime and had a bottle of sparkling mineral water, a platter of tapas which was plenty for the two of us, soft drinks (fresh pear juice with slices of pear...so not run of the mill) and coffees for £20 per head. Service is optional.
Can't wait to go again.

Terre a terra is a real treat. We are not vegetarians but have been many times because the food is incredible. You wont miss meat!
