“Scrumptious Modern Indian”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

This is a healthy, modern indian restaurant. There is always a warm welcome from the manager, impeccable service and the food is absolutely delicious. Dont be put off by the two course menu which means you 'have' to have a starter - they are not overwhelming - & one can chose something really light. The tiny taster glass of soup presented on arrival is always so flavoursome - & likewise the little sorbet glass between the meals is a lovely touch. Definitely worth giving this a whirl - even if Indian food isnt your first choice - because it is very different! Booking essential at the weekends.

“Not just a neighbourhood curry house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2014

Unexpectedly being at Gatwick Airport for 24 hours, we filled time and visited Brighton, Deciding we wanted to eat a curry, an online search came up with Indian Summer. They were able to fit us at short notice early Friday evening. Even the relatively short menu made it difficult to decide what to eat. We settled for the Rajasthani Lamb and vegetarian Thali, after starters of Bhel Puri and Onion Aubergine Pakoda. We also ordered an extra Dhal which proved to be totally unnecessary. Without exception, the food was beautifully presented and well prepared, we struggled to finish our plates. The service was friendly and engaging, even as the restaurant filled up.
With an aperitif each and a bottle from the well priced wine list (the identical bottle on sale at the Gatwick Hilton was 60% more expensive) our bill with service was £60 which we thought was good value for what we experienced.
We eat occasionally at London Michelin starred Indian restaurants and are annual visitors to India and we felt, for the price, that Indian Summer’s food was as good as we have experienced and we would unreservedly recommend eating here..

“Creative and varied cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

Food here is so creative, you never know what youre going to get! Its tasty and exciting to look at and the choice on the menu is refreshing and exciting to choose from! Service is top notch and environment is great, only slight criticism was that the lighting is very dark.

“More than curries”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

Good indian restaurant if you want more than the typical curries. It isn't cheap, but for the quality you get here, it isn't expensive either.
