We planned to visit Cafe Rouge one evening (Tesco vouchers in hand!) but found the table options limited. This is quite a small restaurant and although this might make for a more authentic busy Paris cafe feel, we did not want to be eating a meal with our elbows glued to our sides! As a result we ended up giving it a miss on the first try...

On the next attempt, we arrived a little earlier - around 6.30pm - and found there to be more table options.

We ordered our favourites, the beef bourguignon and the poulet breton, which were as usual delicious. We also found the service from Beppe and the rest of the staff to be warm, friendly and very attentive.

Went in to Cafe Rouge on arrival in Brighton on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday hoping for a coffee & breakfast after being left stood at the door for an age & ignored by four waitresses we just left. Why spend your hard earned money with people who clearly don't want you there & find you an inconvenience?
Never again....!

I had wanted a good coffee for days, and Café Rouge didn't dissapoint. My americano was fantastic (so much I had to tell the waiter) and my lemon cake was just divine. It was well worth a visit, and I will come again when I'm next in Brighton!

Booked a table for 4 on line and received confirmation of the table to be located in main area on ground floor at 8.00pm. There was no table for us so we were shown upstairs, just us and another large party of 12 already there. Waitress came with menus and we asked for a jug of tap water. After waiting 20 minutes for the tap water which did not arrive we left. When we complained to staff on the way out they just shrugged. Would not recommend this branch to anyone.
