Description: There's nowhere better to tuck into some fresh fish 'n' chips than by the seaside, and The Regency Restaurant on the King's Road is the oldest seafood restaurant in Brighton and Hove with ocean views. Famous for its fresh fish and lively atmosphere, the restaurant has become a dining institution with both locals and visitors from out of town and boasts a cheery red and white tiled terrace that looks out over the West Pier, and a cosy dining room perfect for leisurely lunches and relaxed evening meals. The Regency Restaurant serves everything from locally caught fish to lobster, oysters, mussels, Dover sole, crab, prime Scotch steaks and a variety of vegetarian options along with an excellent wine list.

It's my second visit to the Regency restaurant in Brighton and the food was simply delicious! We had a fantastic hot lobster Thermidor and £22 for this dish was a great deal! The service was friendly and professional and prices were democratic.

I would recommend to visit this restaurant and I am definitely a returning happy customer!

Excellent value and good meal, nice bottle of reasonably priced wine. We sort of stumbled on this as the O/H observed it from the road as we were driving to our b&b. But the prices were excellent and the food was excellent - grilled oysters with parmesan were excellent, the moules provencale a very pleasant change from the British "ghastly" of moules mariniere plastered with far too much cream. Then followed by a superb skate wing with capers and a good sized but slightly overcooked whole plaice. A bottle of wine and a pint of lager and the whole lot (including compulsory 10% service charge) came to a very reasonable £55 for two.

Every time we go to Brighton (quite a lot) we head straight to the Regency. We're greeted like old friends, they do their best to seat us at 'our' table, and the food never disappoints. Fresh fish, cooked to perfection, a jolly atmosphere, unpretentious and tremendous value for money. Chips nice and crisp too, portions huge, desserts delicious if you've still got room. Long live the Regency!

We we're greeted by the most lovely staff as we went in. We ordered our food it was simply delicious perfect. It came very quick and was piping hot. The food was very reasonably priced and we all had a sweet too which was equally delicious. I shall most definitely be going back without a shadow of a doubt.
