Have been here a few times on the recommendation of Chinese friends & it was good to see the place packed with members from the local Chinese community the last time we visited. It's not our sort of thing but I'm reliably informed the custard buns are the best for a very long way. When I say traditional dim sum, I mean not of the variety you might find in Hakkasan or Yauatcha but typical dim sum fare - shui mai, har kau, char sui bun etc. So on that score they're well done & good value. Some are better than others - the shanghai buns are very good (decent amount of broth inside & moist bun) & one portion was overcooked (difficult to extract from the basket) but it's generally good quality, the service is quick & helpful & dim sum portions are pretty generous at £2.60 - £3.60 a portion. Well worth a visit in Brighton.
