We have never been disappointed at the Gingerman- a small intimate restaurant with about 28 covers. Whether for a lunch, dinner with friends or as a cover it blends to the event. Food is always superb with interesting twists on old recipes and new ideas. The little extras are always a welcome bonus. Reasonably priced for the quality particularly the set lunch.

Went there last Friday night & its a lovely intimate place, the staff are very friendly & the food is to die for...I had Beef & its honestly the best beef ive ever had!! My lady had duck & she loved it..3 courses for £35 is good value & really recommend it...if you want a great pub before/after the Robin Hood is just round the corner which is lovely....make sure you book a table though as its a small place & very popular.

Gingerman is a smll but perfectly formed gem of a restaurant where we treated ourselves to an anniversary dinner. Unless you know where to find it (on a road running between Norfolk Square and the seafront) you wouldn't spot this as a casual browser, but it well worth searching out. It has an intimate atmosphere and advanced booking is probably best as there are not many tables. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and brilliant. The food features great ingredients and unexpected delights we had a starter of gnocchi with cheese and spinach which was heavenly and mains of lamb with sweetbreads and cod with peas and pancetta. Both were beautifully cooked and great combinations of flavours. They also have a very good wine list.

Thoroughly recommended. The atmosphere was cosy and quaint. Food was really good especially for the set menu of three courses for £22.50.

Will definitely be back

A small and cozy restaurant. The service was friendly. The food was FABULOUS and beautifully presented; the sea trout was to die for! Should be awarded a Michelin star! LOVED IT!
