“Going again for the burger”
Review of The Temple Bar

The Temple Bar
Ranked #407 of 1,133 Restaurants in Brighton
Price range: $8 - $20
Description: The new look Temple Bar houses a young and vibrant crowd who know their drink, love their food and demand good music. There’s a discerning yet warm atmosphere in this contemporary drinking den where you can simply step off the street to enjoy Staropramen 'brewery fresh' tank beer served straight from the brew tanks displayed as you walk into the bar. The award winning LUCKY BEACH crew are in charge of the kitchen, they serve up local, & organic sustainable food. For example they use native breed organic Sussex beef for the hamburgers which is grass-fed and dry-aged. The fish is landed locally here in Brighton and delivered each morning so occasionally we might change the menu depending on availability. Chicken and pork is all local and free-range . All perfectly complements the huge selection of real ale and craft beers that fill the signature island bar. Upstairs has been completely transformed and boasts a number of uniquely styled booths that can easily become base camp for the evening. Each is thoughtfully designed and as perfect for a quiet drink as they are for a group night out. And don’t forget to check out the toilets - we don’t know any pub that can claim to have the most stylish toilets in Brighton but, well… we might be close!

Not often do I do this sort of thing ! But I just wanted to let the good folks of Brighton know how good the food is at the temple bar . Was there Friday evening and had the most mouth watering pulled pork burger .
Best burger in town !!

“Best fish and chips”
Reviewed August 17, 2014 via mobile

We had lunch here and it was the best fish and chips ever! Fish was tender with a crisp batter. Mushy peas, yum and homemade chips with a tartare sauce!! Great value, highly recommend a spot out the front in the sun! Friendly staff also!

“Perfect local”
Reviewed July 30, 2014

Attended many times and always found it welcoming and friendly.
Has a fine range of beers and spirits.
We also tried the menu on our last visit and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was!!
Some interesting items on the menu and reasonably priced.
I advise getting there early if you want outside or a large number of seats as gets busy quickly.
