“Clean, cosy and extremely friendly!!!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013 via mobile

We were welcomed by Phil who showed us to our room and helped us with our luggage. Our room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Location was perfect for us and is only and short walk/drive from brighton centre. Breakfast was full English for us and was amazing. Phil and Louise are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would defiantly stay here again!!!

This is a great choice for location, it is on a very quiet street but close to all the activity of Brighton and Hove and very close to the beach. The breakfast was really tasty, and the goodies in the room were a nice touch. I was surprised at how small the room was (we stayed in the attic room), the picture on the website taken with a wide angle lens or something. I would stay again, but I probably wouldn't request that room again as it was just a bit to small.

This was our 2nd trip to Whitburn lodge and it was every bit as good as the first. Louise and Phil welcome you as if you're old friends. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished to a standard you'd love in your own home.
Breakfast was a great way to start the day, all freshly cooked to order and limitless tea to wash it down with.
Being just on the edge of Hove means that this is a relatively quiet location but within easy walking distance of all that Brighton has to offer.
Stay here and you won't be disappointed!

We were on a weekend get away to Brighton and chose Whitburn B & B for our stay there. The room was clean, phil & louisse were wonderful-friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was excellent specially the herby tomatoes w/olive oil and balsamic. If we go to Brigton again, we will definitely choose Whitburn Lodge again!

We were only after one night and it so happened one night was available at the time, lucky for us it was as the room quality was 5 star, could have mistaken the room for a top hotel, owners were very friendly and helpful. Missed the breakfast as we had to leave early but it looked and smelt fantastic, situated in the heart if Brighton within easy walking distance of the pier and shopping (and lanes) Lion and Lobster pub within 50 yards if Whitburn Lodge excellent for pub and restaurant above , will stay at Whitburn Lodge again when in the area, don't settle for less

Unfortunately we just had two days at Whitburn Lodge - it's a wonderful b&b, our room was clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom had everything we needed and was clean as well. The breakfast was excellent too. We felt absolutely welcome and absolutely enjoyed our stay. If I go to Brighton again I'll definitely choose Whitburn Lodge!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of Oct/beginning of Nov for our anniversary. Was recommended to us by a friend who has stayed a number of times, and they were not lying when they said how good it was!
When we arrived on the Wednesday mid-afternoon we were greeted by Louise and Phil, who explained when breakfast was and generally explaining about the area. Phil took our bags up to our room and then a few minutes later and bought us up a pot of tea and some cake, a really nice touch.
We stayed in Room 2, and it was lovely. Room was so clean and tidy and lovely toiletries supplied in the bathroom. Rest of the guesthouse is lovely, and could not fault it whatsoever.
Breakfast, I have to agree with everyone, is the best in Brighton for sure. There is the traditional Full English or there are Bagel specials. We tried everything, and I can honestly say that they were all lovely! Did not feel you leaving groggy as some places can when its a greasy fry up, this was nothing of the sort! Was great to enjoy such good food that left you full for the day.
Location-wise was great, very close to town and the beach. So many lovely bars and restaurants in town. We had come by train, so it was good that everything was within walking distance. Louise and Phil were also very helpful if you were looking for specific places to go to, and even had maps and booklets available for more information.
On our anniversary itself, Louise and Phil gave us some lovely chocolates as congratulations, which was a nice personal touch.
Can truly say this was a lovely place to stay, and would highly recommend to everyone. Feels as though you are staying with friends.
