Hotel Una

This is a super base for a stay in Brighton. The welcome was very warm, the room spotlessly clean and spacious, the bed lovely and comfortable and the breakfast absolutely delicious. If you book the Quaile you have the added benefit of your own home cinema. The decor of the Una is both modern and quirky, there's a cosy wee bar and a nice breakfast room for anyone sociable enough to face other guests early in the morning - otherwise it's served in your room. All this and it's only a couple of minutes walk from the seafront.

I've read some of the complaints made here about the car parking and am a little puzzled - the hotel doesn't claim to have dedicated parking but there is an NCP in Regency Square which is well lit, close by and very secure. Don't let these comments put you off - this hotel deserves the high rating that most Trip Advisor users have seen fit to award.

This is a funky little boutique hotel in Regency Square that is worth the high ratings on Tripadvisor.
We stayed for four nights and loved it.
Every room is different. The furnishings are quite modern but still "fit" with the 200 year old building. There is enough space to move around. The bed was super comfortable. The window opened (to the sea breeze and the sound of the surf on the shingle).
Breakfast was cheerily served and there were several selections.
The staff was excellent; Paul has a great team!
We attended a conference at the Marriott Metropole around the corner and didn't meet anyone who was staying there that was happy. We brought friends back to dine for breakfast and to relax in the lovely bar.
This hotel is not wheelchair accessible (most places in Britain don't seem to be) but does have a very small lift (so you don't have to climb all the stairs). The quirks of an old building can either thrill you or annoy you (the floor in our room squeaked when trod upon and I worried about the people below me) so this type of hotel mightn't suit everyone. But those of you who like character and appreciate individuality will be thrilled.

Room Tip: The lower floors have larger windows. You can see the sea from the front of the hotel.

Visited Hotel Una for a night away without the kids last week. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Very high spec rooms which impress without being pretentious ( we stayed in Flores). Staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast is super. Cocktails brilliant. We will be back.

I cannot priase this hotel enough, we had a most delightful stay, The rooms are beautiful and the owners most helpful. After goiing to some very mundane hotels, this one stands out. The area is very pleasant and convenient and we would not hesitate to come back again and recommend this to anyone. Planning our next stay!

Spent a couple of nights tail end of September. From the outside, we didn't think much until we opened the door and was greeted with warmth and familiarity. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely and intimate bar - cocktails were heavenly! The room we stayed in was Belise - big telly, comfy sofa whirlpool bath and sauna...felt like a home from home!

Hotel Una is for the discerning B&B fan looking for something a bit different. Would definitely stay again and happy to recommend it to my friends

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend in September. Spent ages reading reviews and having experienced the noisy seafront hotels previously, I opted for this hotel. Perfect location, in a quiet and peaceful square close to the centre of town. The room I chose was Danube and loved it, spacious and airy and the bath was fab. Loved the fact you could have breakfast in your room at no extra charge and I could leave a lengthly and complicated vegetarian request on the form and hang it on my door for collection. The next morning a perfectly cooked breakfast would be delivered. The staff were so helpful and friendly, would definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Danube - lovely view/bath and bed!
