Have stayed here twice before over the last 5 years and enjoyed both stays. This time was no different. A great place. Easy to catch a bus(various buses) into the town centre as stop just across the road or if you want the sea route at the bottom of Lewes Crescent. Marina nearby. Ok no sea view but then it is a basement flat with outside space but does have all amenities including a second loo. Met the next door neighbour very friendly lady as is the owner of this flat. What more can I say.
Myself, Ruby and Teresa had a wonderful stay, super friendly host (Katharine T) great flat, nice neighbor, super posh Georgian setting, amazing private historical garden with Lewis Carol connection and tunnel to the beach. Short bus ride into town, buses all the time, great cafe Marmalade around the corner, Pizza face Pizza up the road, Lidl and Co op stores within walking distance for supplies. It was GRAND! Thanks!
Really beautiful flat, very well equipped to a very high standard and very comfortable. Lovely walk into Brighton through the stunning gardens and then straight down onto the prom or through Kemptown. Being slightly away from town means it is also a very peaceful place should you wish for a quieter weekend.
Katharine met us at the flat on arrival and was a great source of local info. We'd definitely return!
We have had a wonderful stay in this lovely little apartment. On our arrival we were personally greeted by the lovely owner who told us where all the supermarkets, cafes, pubs and restaurants were and gave us all the bus details. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very clean and very well equipped. We had been thoughtfully left a welcome bottle of fizz and milk. The area is lovely and the private gardens are wonderful. A short walk through the gardens takes you to the beach and you are then very close to the Marina. Here we found lots of restaurants, a cinema, bowling and a big supermarket. In the evening thousands of Starlings fly under the pub to roost and it is an amazing thing to see. We went for a peaceful break ,which we had, but it is a very short bus ride into the bustle of Brighton so you have the best of both worlds. The buses are every 7 minutes day and night. The apartment is compact but very well arranged so three adults and a dog were very comfortable. We can highly recommend this lovely place and very much look forward to our next visit.
Slightly away for centre but that suited us fine, Well placed for Marina and Kemptown both of which have great dog friendly cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants and nice a walk into town along sea front and along coastal path under the cliffs.
I am sorry to say our stay here was disappointing. Although it was explained to me on arrival that there was a problem with the plumbing it was worse than I thought. I couldn't open the doors to the outdoor courtyard because every time someone in the upstairs flat used their bathroom/kitchen and the waste came down their pipe it smelled so bad and there was also alot of flies/insects so we had to keep the doors closed. I personally found the apartment dark and not how I viewed it on the website. On the upside Katherine was lovely to deal with and the gardens across the road were lovely. I wouldn't recommend this place and I would not stay here again.
