“Superb Weekend Stay”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

My wife and I go to Brighton every year for our anniversary. We had the garden room with the whirlpool bath. What a fantastic treat. The owners couldn't do enough for you, the breakfast selection is top notch and the place is spotless. Located close to the pier and the heart of Brighton I would highly recommend A stay here. Not your usual B&B, more like a boutique hotel. Superb.

Dave W

Room Tip: If available try and book the garden room. The whirlpool bath and size of bed is a real treat.

Richard and Simon were the perfect proprietors - from the warm welcome on arrival, with tips for our stay, to the taxi arranged for departure. Their friendly, approachable and thoughtful manner was demonstrated in so many ways:-
...newspapers and complimentary fruit in the Dining Room.
...irons, ironing boards and kitchen fridge for guests' use.
...hairdryer, fan, fan heater and clock in our room, with plenty of mirrors to suit all needs.
...large bottled water, replaced daily, and a container with various chocolate bars - a nice touch!
...computer, printer and wi-fi in the Dining Room with a good choice of DVDs for use with the bedroom TV and DVD player.

The breakfast was excellent - well presented with plenty of choice on the menu, which catered for vegetarians and guests with special dietary needs. We were sorry that we didn't get the chance to taste the pancakes with fruit but that's just one of the many reasons why we'll stay again at Brightonwave.

There are various sized rooms 'to suit one's pocket'. Ours was spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. There was constant hot water and luxurious toiletries. We came back one day to find that the heated towel rail had been switched on to dry our towels - another nice touch. The proximity of the hotel to the beach, Pier, Wheel and The Lanes is a bonus, as is the lovely family-run Italian Restaurant, Capannina, only a few doors away from the hotel.

If you read other reviews, you'll probably be thinking that 'it's all too good to be true', but it ISN'T!! Richard and Simon are 'gems' and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: Look at the photos and descriptions on Brightonwave's own web-site.

My partner and I stayed at Brightonwave over the bank holiday weekend and it was perfect. We had room 2 (4 poster bed and a cute little balcony). We were greeted on arrival, given lots of local info, where to eat etc. Our room, and the whole hotel was immaculate, very fresh, clean and pleasant. Such attention to detail, especially the secret supply of chocolate treats that we didn't discover until the morning! A very lovely breakfast too, would highly recommend the fruit and pancakes!
We really were made to feel so welcome, and the use of glasses, ice bucket etc free of charge. Would highly recommend this gem to anyone. The parking was a bit of a problem, given it was a B-) weekend, but luckily we were very fortunate to get a space directly outside the hotel (and the permit is only £9 for 24hrs) Keep up the good work,I'm sure we will be returning again very soon

Room Tip: We had room 2 which was four poster with shower room and balcony which had a beautiful view out onto...

Just back from 2 nights at Brightonwave where I stayed whilst visiting family. Very friendly but unobtrusive hosts who offer as much assistance as you require. Only 100 yards from the seafront and main Pier, so an excellent location. As many others have commented, the breakfast is superb. I tried the blueberry pancakes and the tarragon mushrooms on toast and both were delicious. The room was great with a flat screen tv and a very comfortable bed. I particularly liked the bedside lamps where you just touch the stems to light them up. Nice artwork on the walls.
My only criticism is with the size of the bathroom. Bijou would be a good description. Specifically the wash basin is so small that shaving and even brushing your teeth can be quite a challenge.
Overall though, this is a small gripe compared to the general very high standard that this B&B reaches and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Brighton.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 3, so perhaps choose a different room if you are on the large side.

My friend and I stayed at the Brightonwave Hotel for a weekend in March and we will certainly be going back. We stayed in the Garden Room, the room was so clean, the bed so comfy the bathroom was very spacious and we enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. We loved the garden despite the cold weather. The owners Richard and Simon were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We loved the chocolates along with the plentiful supply of tea, coffee and especially the fresh milk in the fridge. The breakfast selection was amazing for a small hotel, from pancakes, fresh fruit etc to full english and vegetarian and plentiful supplies of fresh coffee, tea and juices. You could not have asked for more. Loved it!

My favourite place to stay when in Brighton as it is small and very welcoming. It would be perfect for any type of stay business or pleasure, single or with family, friends or couple.
Tastefully decorated in a clean neutral modern style, all home comforts are provided including DVDs, wifi, toiletries, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water in the room and even a pot of chocolates :-))
Breakfast is included and lovely with lots of choice cooked fresh for you.
I have always been lucky enough to park outside the hotel but otherwise there is a car park nearby.
It is perfectly located close to the beach, giant wheel and pier and also near to the lanes, shops and restaurants.
The owners are equally lovely and always extremely helpful with the right balance of being accessible and friendly without being intrusive.
I almost didn't want to write a review as it is already hard to book in at times!!

My husband booked this hotel for our anniversary and we had a fantastic overnight stay. The hotel is very close to the seafront, the pier and all the cafes and restaurants you could need. The room was modern, spacious, exceptionally clean and the bed was comfy! The breakfast was fantastic and Richard & Simon are great hosts. We will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton.
