Came here twice - first time had steak and chips which was ok, obviously the steak was tasteless and bland can't really expect high quality steaks in the UK I guess, but the fries were thinly cut and delicious and the dessert was yummy! Came here twice and WOW what a disappointment. I ordered the crab cake which literally looked like something you would order in your crap local fish and chip shop down the road. You can tell it definitely had not been hand made, probably was just taken out of the freezer and into the pan. Presentation of the meal was hideous- basically chucked the fish cake on a heap of chips and gave it to me. The desert however was delicious yet again.

Many thanks to have taken time to review our Brasserie. I am disappointed to read that in this occasion we have not met your expectations. Since opening our doors we have had a great success but unfortunately, in few occasions we have been let down by the difficulty to find professional and experienced staff in this particularly area of Sussex and the majority of times we had to temporary recruit from an Agency we receive bad reviews/complaints. Saying this we have recently invested into new fresh staff, professionally trained by us and are focusing with them on what really matters to us, food quality and guests experience.

Since your last visit, we have made positive changes taking in consideration your comments. There are no excuses for poor service, waiting and food quality. You can be assured that this won’t happened again!! Our New food & craft beers Menu looks really amazing!!

Stopped here for dinner because of nice outside seating and extensive beer list. No problems with the service and drinks were nice - was good to have the choice of Belgian beers and some more unusual varieties on tap. Food wasn't great though - Parmesan and walnut gnocchi was so over salted it was ridiculous - actually ended up trying to get the sauce off the gnocchi rather than trying to scrape it up as you should be. Other meal was an unusually small pancetta wrapped chicken breast that had been deep fried with a portion of dauphinois so greasy we think that might have been fried too! Very disappointed with the meals - would possible stop here again but only for a drink.

We had a set menu that was pre-booked so I don't know what the rest of the food was like.

The food was ok (apart from the mushroom pasta as that was very bland), but the service was not so good. We ordered a drink that didn't turn up, we had to wait ages because they forgot the parmesan, the salad that someone else ordered came with a barely noticable amount of dressing, someone got the wrong desert and had to wait for a new one.

That is the only bad thing I have to say about it as I was told by my friends that their food was good (apart from the one that ordered the same as me)

2 of us tried here for a change to Fat Leo. Ordered 2 starters and 2 mains. Starters took a while to come but we got them and they were very nice - no apology for the delay. Our mains took much longer to come and again no apology. The girl put one main down Infront of me and walked off - we assumed she had gone to get the 2nd main but no she carried on serving other people. We waited 5 mins before she came back and asked what was wrong and we said that we were waiting for another pizza. She seemed shocked and questioned if we had ordered it..!!! We went to ask how long it would be and she just walked away. We called who we assumed was the manager/supervisor over to express our dissatisfaction and she said she would take mine away and get a pizza made. But still couldn't tell us how long this would take - seems that asking the chef was too much trouble. We said we would keep mine here as they would just leave it under a hot light. The manager left still having not answered our question and the original girl came back. We asked again how long would it take and she said 2-5 mins but couldn't be sure as she had not asked the chef!!! 5 mins later pizza arrived.
We were given the bill promptly but waited another 5 mins to pay. In the meantime the table next to us were complaining about slow service. Won't be back.
