Love this place, it's a bit haphazard - we had a thali and the dhal didn't arrive straight away, by the time it came, the owner noticed we'd eaten lots of the rice so he went and got some more. When he came back with the rice he thought we'd better have some more dahl. We could have gone on all night.
They also do amazing samosa and other little starters (can't remember what they're called). You can buy a bag for £2, they cook them fresh so go do a bit of shopping and come back and they're ready for you. And those samosa actually are the best I've eaten, and I've traveled all over India.
Wish they'd open later and wish they'd get more heaters. Once the rest of Brighton cottons on to how good they are it won't be possible for locals to get a table. But I really wish them well, such a lovely family.
