I was a super Tin Drum afficionado, so was saddened to see that the lovely light decor of the original bar has been replaced with dark tones and neon, that said- I was willing to give it a chance so went for lunch with my partner.

The food was distinctly average (he had a burger, I had steak) and it was quite difficult to relax and chat due to the loud music and general hubbub of the bar. I'd go again, but only for drinks, and only if I couldn't be bothered to walk any further than the dials (otherwise I'd go further afield)

Thank Laura D

Love this bar/ pub and we have been twice in a week! The burger meal is great and good value for money and a vast array of beers to choose from. Nice staff and a very easy on the eye waiter who set the table for us!!! The brownie dessert with vanilla ice cream was very tasty.Would reccommend.

Stumbled upon this place yesterday on a short trip to Brighton, having already bypassed the Craft Beer Co due to very poor service. This was certainly not the case in The Cow thankfully!
The pub sells numerous craft beers, of which we sampled some of the local stuff.
The pub plays awesome music, serves great beer and most importantly had really friendly and welcoming service. We didn't eat but had significant "food envy" when we saw other diners plates arrive!
In sum, a fab little place especially if you like good beer :)

First time we had been here since it changed from the Tin Drum and we were pleasantly surprised. The range and quality of beer was very good. We had two platters between 3 people which were ample and very good quality. We would certainly go back there, although probably not for a main meal.
