Was taken here by people who live locally but had not tried it. They won't be doing so again in a hurry. Our Eastern European waitress was sweet but poorly trained and, lurking in the background, a Cruella de Ville lookalike who wore a gold standard scowl. The food was fine and so was the wine - or what little we could get of it. We eventually left in search of vino elsewhere. Life's too short to hang around in this rather unwelcoming former pub. Not long for this life, I fear.
