“great place for lunch”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

After wandering around in Brighton for ages, we came across Soup-urb and gave it a try. We both really enjoyed the fresh soup, really tasty. We also treated ourselves to one of their home made cakes which were really nice, we both managed to polish off a big slab of cake each! The staff were really helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. If you like fresh food and something different from the usual Starbucks etc this is well worth a visit

“Lovely Lunching”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

After a good rumage through the lanes popping in and out of many quirky shops we found a place to chill out and take stock. Soup-urb had really friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and most importantly delicious food and drink.

“Just the Job!”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

I have visited this 'urban cafe' in its Tunbridge Wells manifestation. Now it's open in Brighton and the standards of freshly made cuisine, much sourced from local producers, and - important to us - where possible avoiding additive and preservatives. Many of the components that you'd expect (in other places) to come out of a jar or a bottle are made on the premises - such as the delicious mayonnaise. We're really keen on healthy eating, but not everything low-cal, low-fat. this place makes the kind of balanced diet, really tasty, stuff that we like making at home. We really enjoyed the yummy soups, although the menu here has so much more than soup! And my melon, apple and mint juice mix was so delicately lovely - real imagination. Don't exect cordon bleu, that's not the nature of the place. It's simple but clever - an excellent place for a light lunch with a friend or family. Simple decor, very friendly. Apparently there was another place on the same premises until just recently and gthe staff have transferred. Next time we're back in Brighton we'll be back. What more can I say?
