Stopped here for a quick snack. Cappacino was lovely, as was the chocolate tart. We sat outside, but as ever these days, had to run the gauntlet of cigarette smoke. Other than that great place to recharge your batteries.

Stumbled over this cafe amongst the myriad of cafes, bars and restaurants in Brighton and finally found a menu worth considering. Both so us had poached eggs, mine with chorizo, hers with hollandaise sauce. Sat outside in the gorgeous sunshine and enjoyed the people watching as well. Brilliant coffee to follow and great service to boot. One to remember.

After a horror of a hotel breakfast the day before, this wonderful homely little cafe knocked my socks off with brunch of champions. A unfussy, perfect plate of sausages, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes and crispy bacon on buttery sourdough toast. Really cute touch was the individual pots of sauce accompanying it in little Tiptree jars. Big portions, hot and just, well, honest is the best way I can describe it. Wolfed it down and then after sitting opposite the cake counter drooling throughout, I followed it up with a gloriously rich pear/pecan tart.

We found this cafe in error for breakfast but were delighted that we had. Pancake tower with fruit, honey and yoghurt was superb. Friends all enjoyed a large and tasty portion of scrambled egg and bacon on toasted sourdough bread. Sat outside which was lovely too and drooled over the amazing looking cakes and pastries on the counter inside. Will return tomorrow for breakfast again...
