The first warning sign that we should not have frequented this restaurant was the hygiene rating scale 'awaiting inspection'.
There were six of us including two vegetarians. It was recommended that we try a sharing platter, we were assured that the samosas and onion banjis were vegetarian and would be kept separated from the chicken and lamb. To their word, these were kept separately but to our horror, a vegetarian discovered lamb in the samosa, we queried this and were initially reassured that these were vegetarian but when we persisted, staff agreed to check with the kitchen. Staff came back with a half assed apology that one platter had lamb samosas but the other were definitely vegetarian. To our surprise, I bit into the other samosa, also to find there was meat in these. As a vegetarian, this is quite upsetting, especially as the serving staff appeared less than interested. If it were an allergy, it would be interesting to see if they would take it more seriously. The manager saw our disgust and profusely apologised and agreed to take the price of the starters off the menu, however we were charged £6 for poppadums'! The food was average and it was hard to enjoy this due to not fully knowing what had been added to this. I did however enjoy the poppadums', however in many restaurants these are complementary. The bill was not utilised so except for the poppadums', we could not decipher this. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant, especially if you have specific dietary requirements.

A superb meal and served by friendly attentive staff. Chicken Chat followed by Jubilee Chicken, egg rice and garlic naan. Only manage to visit once a year but always make sure I do.

We just so happened to stumble upon Bombay and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the speciality starter platter and every aspect of it was cooked beautifully. We weren't feeling adventurous and ordered a korma each with rice and it was by far one of the most superior ones I've had. I had lamb and my partner had chicken and we both couldn't believe how tasty it was. We couldn't finish our meals (healthy size portions) and so they were more than willing to pack it for take away for us. We were still too full later on so gave it to a homeless man who said, the next day, how much he also enjoyed the meal. Lovely staff manners and attitudes and pleasant enough place. Nothing outstanding as far as venue goes but the food speaks for itself. Highly recommend.

Wonderful evening with friends with plenty of Indian Cuisine and enjoyable wine. The food was plentiful and served by an excellent waiter called Ron who was friendly and caring, making the atmosphere truly good. The food was very enjoyable and compliments to the chief. A really enjoyable evening, thanks Ron.
