“Perfect for a weekend in Brighton”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Ideal b&b - our room was described as "compact double" - it was compact but had everything we needed plus more - the only b&b I've stayed in that has a fridge in the room! That was a nice touch as had some drinks in (minibar) but also meant we could have our own drinks etc. The room was very clean, particularly the bathroom. Breakfast was nice - plenty of choice. Staff very friendly/helpful. What was great was that by the front door there were leaflets for different places and the 2 places we'd chosen to eat while we were there both had discount leaflets available for us to take! Free glass of champagne at Riddle & Finns and 10% off at Smokeys!
Good location - few minutes walk to the Lanes etc. One of the cheapest places I found as well.
(I've given sleep quality a 3 only because the seagulls woke us up at 3.30am each morning & it was very hot! but not a fault of the b&b).

This is a lovely B&B, a short walk from town, with loads of nice extras setting it apart from the many others I've stayed in. It was also amongst the cheapest!
Free wifi,
DVD player in the room TV and a little library of free DVDs and CDs to borrow,
Fan, extra heater and mini bar/fridge in room,
Sunny conservatory breakfast room with unlimited tea/coffee kit (kettles in room) 24hr (I usually run out!),
Courtyard garden with table-chairs/parasol,
Selection of hot breakfasts
Smiling helpful staff.
The room was as clean as my home but not spotless, but that's my only criticism and I'll definitely stay here again!

My husband chose this place for our 2nd wedding anniversary getaway. Ticks all the boxes as in, the rooms are neat and tidy, beds are comfy, clean bathrooms, polite and helpful staff, etc. However, for £89 a night, for a room on the third (topmost) floor of the building with a low roof, no breakfast.. We felt kind of over charged.

To be fair, the place has a lovely garden which is open to the guests, each room has a TV with a built in DVD player and a decent collection of DVDs that you can take upto your room, free WiFi, unlimited supply of tea-coffee with the usual electric kettle, cups and glasses. And, there was a mini-bar in the room, well stocked with reasonably priced spirits.

We'll definitely come back to Brighton, but will we stay here, am not so sure...

Just ended our stay in this superbly managed space. This is a b&b with thought, style & effort. The owner is direct & professional & the staff were a delight. Will recommend highly, even though the bed was not a large double & there was feint breakfast room noise in the mornings. We booked through late rooms and got a great deal £112 for two nights. I can't comment on the food as we decided to eat at different cafes each morning, of which there are some excellent ones in close proximity.

Hudsons is a lovely little guest house that was in a good location. The room was clean and very comfortable we had a huge super king size bed and there were facilities to make a drink in the room plus there was a mini bar if you wanted it . The owner was really friendly and served a decent breakfast and there was several choices to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this guest house and will certainly stay here again in the future.

When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us around. The room we had was a basement standard room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Nice clean bathroom with a bath and shower. The guest house was in a good location as it was a 10 minute walk to Brighton City Centre which is perfect! Also great value for money and would stay here again :)
