my family and i stayed here for two nights just before new year, this is a first class hotel in a good location, the booking experience was excellent we had a large king double room with a view of the marina, the room was very spacious my familt is two adults, two children and one baby and there was plenty of room for all of us, the room had a balcony and large picture windows, large tv and ipod docking station, large family bathroom with two sinks and a monsoon shower, we only ate in the resturant at breakfast time which was included the breakfast was of good quality but i have had better there was a very good selection of cereals, breads, fruit, juices etc..., overall the hotel is very clean, modern and comfortable and i would return in the near future. the marina has many bars and resturants and some lovely walks, you can walk to brighton along the seafront it takes 30 mins approx, we chose the bus which runs every 7 minutes and cost about £2.00 per adult return, we chose to eat in the indian and coast to coast resturants which are very good.

Room Tip: i would recommend a large marina view room if you can stretch your budget to it.

We spent one night at the Seattle straight after the mayhem of Christmas. We wanted to `Blow the cobwebs away` We parked on the 6th floor of the adjacent car park and after a very short walk we were checking in. We had booked a marina/sea view which was nice. The room was spacious and warm. Some reviews mention small rooms, ours was fine.
Running on tea as we do it was nice to find a full size kettle and large mugs for our use , but as is often the case only enough tea bags etc. for 2 cups each but we always take our own so no problems. We caught a cab to The Lanes in town (£9). You have to go, its the quirkiest place Ive been.Spent hours wandering the narrow streets looking through the unusual shops
.Had the weather been better we would have caught the bus that stop 2mins away.
Breakfast was of good quality and plentiful, it set us up for the day. A couple of tips, ask for an internet voucher and local map which are not offered when you check in, it just saves you having to go back ( they are both free).

Room Tip: If you can stretch to it , get a marina/sea view. In nice weather it would be lovely to sit out with a glass of wine

We opted to stay at the Seattle whilst visiting relatives between xmas and New Year. When booking it seemed to offer value for money with breakfast included, free parking and a family room suitable for 2 adults & 2 small children.

The location is ok, out of town so quiet, plenty of parking and public transport into town. The marina itself has gone downhill slightly over the years, a bit tired looking and slowly being taken over by chain restaurants, amusements and cheap shops which is a shame. The hotel itself however, when you walk in is quite impressive (although over powering smell of pizza in lifts from nearby restaurant off putting) Large public spaces, clean and friendly staff, so we were thinking we had perhaps got a great deal with our room....

Sadly not. The room was relatively clean and large, although carpets stained, bathroom looking a bit tired and not as well maintained as you'd hope. The worst thing however, was the heat in the room. Despite turning all the radiators off, the room was like a sauna and with no aircon the options were open the window; which to our horror for a "family room" were not safety windows so fully swung open and meant the children could easily fall three floors to the ground below. Paranoid we had to lock all the windows and hide the keys, which meant we were left with an ineffective and noisy fan to try and cool the room. The hotel kindly supplied another fan when we complained that we were still hot, but this meant the noise from them stopped us getting any sleep and effectively just pushed the warm air around. Another point to mindful of, is that the sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable, fine for my 4 year old son for a couple of days, but larger children will probably end up with a bad back, liferally no mattress at all on the beds. Only other complaint was that soaps etc werent replenished daily, so ran out after the first day.

So after the disappointment of the room and lack of sleep, we were slightly cheered by the excellent breakfast and friendly staff in the restaurant, try and get a table in the conservatory great views of the harbour.

Would probably have rated the hotel as good, had it not been for the unbearable heat in the room and the down right dangerous windows, for us as a family unfortunately because of this we won't be staying again.

Room Tip: Get one with harbour view and aircon

The upgrade on arrival was much appreciated for more space but even without this clean modern hotel offered a good nights sleep, great views and generous breakfast. Used bus stop to get into town, 10 mins, and taxis about £10

Recommend paying for a marina view, superb sunset

After finding this hotel on tripadvisor, we decided to give it a shot, and was nothing but best pleased with the find. A very restful, tranquil and perfect hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. Spotlessly clean, all the spoils you could wish for, food and the dining area are wonderful, lovely areas to lounge on squidgy sofas looking across the marina and to the sea, staff are nothing but pleasant and smiling, very modern building inside and out but tasteful old stype furnishings dotted around, just enough to give it the wow factor without being over the top. Would definately recommend this hotel, we will be returning again and again, our little oasis just a stones throw from home, perfect!

Room Tip: try to book a marine view, very lovely, but the other rooms are just as lovely
