Booked a standard double a few weeks ago so received a good rate of £68.00. Could have been £58 but we wanted the peace of mind to be able to cancel. The staff were very polite, cheery and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was a fair size for two, clean, in good order and a comfortable bed. The shower was great. I have stayed at far more luxurious hotels where you have to faff about getting the water temp right with no pressure at all but this was great straight away. Our room faced a busy street so could have been very noisy but the double glazing works and hardly heard anything. The NCP car park is expensive (£25.00 for 24 hours reduced to £18.00 with a discount card from reception) but very convenient, just behind the hotel. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as the location is so good there are lots of restaurants and cafes right on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend for a no frills but good standard hotel.

We stayed here for one night, never stayed at a premier inn before..The room was clean, tidy, staff were very friendly..One problem was that a piece of the trip glazed plastic had been removed from one pane of the window..It had not really become apparent of the noise levels until we arrived back into our room at midnight...As the hotel room was facing the front it was right on a main road, all I could hear was buses, police sirens, and late night drunks...It made sleeping impossible ....One check out I was asked if everything was ok and I informed them of the missing layer of glazing, the man at reception immediately apologized and without further questioning refunded me the full price of the room..Premier Inn have a 100% good night sleep guarantee or your money back....Thats what I call service! I wouldn't hesitate to book premier inn again so much better than any travelodge!

Hard to fault this hotel! considering the reasonable prices! Ideal for families. Staff are excellent, particularly Bruno in reception. Hayley and Anna in restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for us :) Breakfast very good and wholesome, kids love it as it is buffet style! Unfortunately our heating in our room wasn't working and as it was a freezing cold weekend (Easter) we were offered a plug in radiator which soon had the room warm again! They were unable to change our room as hotel was full although this was offered to us the next day when hotel less full! On checking out we were offered a refund on one of our nights to compensate for our cold room! We thought this was extremely nice and totally unexpected :) Our room and bed was very comfortable apart from cold start!! and very quiet! room 418

Room Tip: 418 nice and quiet, side view

Great night's sleep considering it is right in the city centre. Friendly reception staff, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Cooked breakfast was okay, continental breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay there again in future.

A short 15 minute walk from the Train station. it is conveniently located however, the cost reflects this. I went for a lads weekend therefore stumbling in at 2am saved me some taxi fares.
The beds were extremely comfortable and spacious. Shower is good enough and the room had a spare single bed too. We had a PS3 with us and although the TV was small, it was handy enough.
Overall, cant fault this hotel. Suggest a walk for breakfast..Cheaper.

Room Tip: a room at the back of the busy road so that it is quieter.
