It did not help that it was a cold wet January day but I thought a great attraction had been left to rot (although there were signs of some work being done). Perhaps it would have been better when the Volks railway was running. I wanted to see the old "raised beach " where the cliffs start (Geology enthusiast) quite a long but pleasant walk but a bit scary on an isolated walkway behind Asda. Well signposted and actually accessible.

An excellent place for a long walk or jog. Nice and wide and flat with the sea nearby. Alas it's not pretty, Brighton is a town deeply daubed with graffiti, which assaults your senses, and the scruffy building work attempting to prop up the crumbling edifices along it doesn't add to the ambience either. Free public toilets though.

Early morning strolls down the Undercliff walk are a must when you visit Brighton. The walkways are wide enough for all, it's especially nice to be able to get the children out for some fresh air and what better place to take them than along the Undercliff walk to see a different side of Brighton.

We parked the car in Brighton Marina and decided to go for a walk around the marina, but got distracted on the beach and went for a 4 mile round walk instead. The sun was warm and as protected by cliffs was a very pleasant walk. There are several toilets on route and at Rottingdean a cafe.

Walked down from our hotel, we were at this boulevard. It's a pedestrian area though some bicycles were passing you once in a while. Everywhere you will see a sign "pedestrian priority- cyclists slow". The locals let their dogs out and it's a true paradise for the dogs, chasing the ball, chasing other dogs, jumping into the water etc. By a good weather it's a nice place to visit. There is a small cafe along the path, some benches and also a Multi-Use-Games-Area (MUGA) for basket ball, volley ball etc.
