We liked the roots of the trees growing up the cliff, the views of the beach, the easy parking and the shops along the way to the Brighton Eye.
The walk is magical, the Brighton Eye is great, Alan Partridge was talking about the views on the visit we made. Such fun!!

it was late in the evening when i went for a walk along the pier so just about everything had shut for the day except for the amusement arcades & it was also very cold & windy too so it wasn't much of an experience but i can imagine it would be very different in the summer months as it was the last week in october when i was there .

Enjoy the fun and noise of the pier then take a walk on the undercliffe walk to Rottingdean if you feel like a good long walk. Literally under the cliffs. Careful in winter though, as it can be closed due to weather warnings. But you can't beat the waves crashing right up to the walls of the walkway.

Take the concrete path all the way to the end; you can always get the bus back up on top. Along the way, take in the sea; walk amongst the rock pools if the tide allows; stop at the eclectic tea kiosk; or enjoy a coffee or tapas near the very end. Bring along your family, do it in a romantic duo, or take a solitary meander. But do it.

The pier has everything you could possibly want, to food and drink, clothes and jewellery, and of course the fun fair on the end of the pier, brilliant.
