My wife and I arrived after travelling all day from France and were blown away by the welcome we received from Sue & Telly. They were perfect hosts and even gave us a voucher for parking in the street outside, which was surprisingly easy in 'notorious for parking' Brighton! They recommended a local restaurant and gave us plenty of hints about what to do in the area because Brighton, being the size it is, has almost too much to offer and having good local knowledge always helps avoid the tourist traps..

The beds were really comfortable and facilities top knotch, including the complimentary lolipops! Breakfast was superb, with loads of choice (my darling wife is vegan) using quite clearly the best quality produce! All served in charming surroundings (Telly has a huge passion for French antiques) featuring an 'open' kitchen, so you can see your breakfast being cooked for you.

Overall a superbly comfortable bolt hole, run by lovely people! Thanks guys, we will be returning!

In a nutshell, this is one of the very few places in Brighton, where you will feel at home in a cosy, friendly and safe environment.

If you're looking for a place to get away from the stressful environment we encounter everyday, then I'd definitely recommend this hotel. The staff are friendly and you will feel quite welcome. Furthermore, any query you might have is definitely to be answered. The hotel is in an excellent location since it is literally around 5-6 minutes walk from the city centre and you will find many bus stopes that divert to different pars of the city. The seafront is also a few minutes wall, so nature is just around the corner.

TV and free Internet is included so that's an additional bonus which is not always available in the top hotels....

It's a good hotel for its price and value. Its worth going to and you won't regret it. Because I enjoyed going in September, I went again in October because I felt at home.

Room Tip: According to your needs, you will find the right room for you. Don't fret because there is alway...

We booked a long weekend in Brighton and I chose this place based on the reviews at Trip Advisor...we were not disappointed. We have a 7 month old baby and are 20 weeks pregnant with our 2nd. We were offered a travel cot in the room, a fridge for the baby milk and a highchair for breakfast - nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully decorated, the house is well positioned for access to the Lanes, and we could see the sea from the bedroom window. Breakfast was enough to set us up for the day, and we both agreed we got value for every penny and wouldn't stay anywhere else for the same budget in Brighton again.

Telly and Sue could not be a more charming and welcoming couple. More than happy to take the extra step - such as traffic warden lookout. Take every advantage of the parking permits if you get the chance. 15 minute stroll to The Lanes. Very clean and tidy. chocolates and cupcakes. little things that make a difference. Big breakfast choices. Also they seem to have done most restaurants in the area so can offer some great advice and recommendations. WiFi reception sketchy.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 10. 57 steps to top floor but worth it.

If you want a classic rustic and glam french hotel to stay in this is the one for you. My partner and I came here and felt the heart-warming welcome instantly. The owners Susan and Telly catered for our every need and more.... lovely touches like leaving us cute little cupcakes in our room on our second day. The room we stayed in was a dream come true. Wonderful decor through out the hotel. (given me a few ideas for home projects!!!) The bed was the most comfortable bed ever!!!! i slept really well (considering i have insommia!) and room was warm and cosy. Our room was No7. The freshly cooked breakfast was really lovely, Beautifully cooked and alot of technical skills. They have a secret recipe for thier mushrooms!! to die for!!! The breakfast room is light and airy with a beautiful blend of a rustic french cafe and the glam of a beautiful chanderler. Great touches like the napkin rings reading "BON HEUR." Susan and Telly were friendly, caring, funny, wonderful people and this made our stay relaxed. Telly is a great gardener, so much so he won the brighton in bloom competition. I alway judge a hotel by their planting outside because i believe if the outside is full of colour, beauty and TLC therefore inside will be to. This hotel is fabulous and Robert and I will be returning soon.
