Used to visit here on a regular basis, as they had a supurb menu of speciality sausages (the Lamb and Apricot were to die for ! ) On our last visit, the menu had changed drastically and we struggled to choose a tempting dish. Opted for the lamb, but it was very basic :-(

I like this place for its selection of real ales and a decent choice of food. Good outlook on to The Lanes. Friendly staff.

You get what you're given pretty much. I didn't feel that this place surpassed expectation, nor did I want it to. We were looking for a decent little pub food place and the Pump House duly provided. The food was decent enough, although I would question the freshness of the mash potato's. The pie itself was decent enough. I would say the price was a little expensive but nothing out of the ordinary. Ultimately, this was a good enough experience but I probably wouldn't go back, due to lack of atmosphere among other things.

I am appalled & dissapointed by the rude staff , i have been in here many times but on this occasion when i asked the bar lady for my firt drink she walked away , i then asked anothe lady& she replied ive been told not to serve you !!! i asked why but got no asnswer , i then asked the barman if i had done somethibg to offend her & he said it was because i had already had too much to drink !!! when i questioned him he said i was shouting at him !!! Its a pub , it was bursting from the seams & it was loud in there , i had to shout for him to here me !!! i let as i was bot up for an argument & got served all evening in another bar opposite with friendly staff , They clearly need to go on a peoples skills course and have so much business they want to turn it away !!!! First time in my life ive been resused to be served , I guess theres a first for everything !!!!
