“Massive portions!”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

We went to this diner on a Saturday afternoon with a 3 year old and a 12 year old as well as 5 adults. The staff were very accommodating and the place really has that American atmosphere. The food was traditional American with the portion size being massive as I have experienced in America. Burgers were excellent chips were great. Service could have been a little faster but it was a great experience and the food was good. I would recommend it.

“Nice decor spoilt by poor food”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

It looks good and the effort to make it feel like an American diner experience is very good. However the staff were functional at best and the food we ordered was just not good enough. The burgers were overlooked and rubbery and my Texan burger had very little sauce with it. The salad was dry and unappetising. My daughters chicken burger was marginally better in that it was juicy and tasted fine, but the buns were dry and inedible. All our chips were overlooked and oily.

As others say the milkshakes are great so go there for a bit of American fun and for the milkshakes but give the burgers a wide birth.....

“Yummy American food!”
Reviewed October 16, 2013

A busy American diner with good food! Good size portions, although they didn't have any sweet potato fries which is a shame!
And they have the most amazing milkshakes available in a selection of rainbow colours which look amazing, and they give you the remaining milkshake in a separate glass :)

“Let down by unfriendly staff”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Food was just OK. Milkshakes and iced teas were really good. Was really let down by sullen and unfriendly staff.

“American sized portions...”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

I got exactly what i would expect from an Amercian diner anywhere in the world...
Tons of 50s memorabilia, tons of food and a gigantic milkshake.
Definitely good value for money, but not a place i'd go to regularly...this is pretty much a burger joint...well burger or salad. I don't mind a burger once in a while and my chicken burger was nice and juicy but I'd prefer not to have one and probably anything else on the menu! Fries and shake were tantalising and so much choice for shakes/cocktails that would go well as a rule for the whole menu but well worth buying into the 1950's American experience for an hour.
I loved the little touches like the American vending machine outside vending Hersheys, Reese's etc. The only let down was there were a few flies circulating...and its not really the weather for flies on the English Channel in October...
